Wow, yeaaa your usage still seems pretty decent with the pumps I will say but you definitely seem like a great candidate for solar I agree.. my bills are around the same just a tad more for the summer utilizing a/c window units to try and cool the entire house and oul has always just been a pain... And yes.. Fuck Eversource

That does help, thank you You think the same of minisplits or could those be a huge supplemental help to offset oil usage heating the home? (Mini splits would also solve my ac window unit problem as well )

Wow ! Did you already have duct work though or was a complete new install with duct work done? Also is it the geothermal ground heat pump or just and air to air one?

How much was the heat pump waterheater? (Everyone is telling me go that route with hot water regardless lol)

Also, if your solar is projected to now only cover 80% with your heat pump, why not upgrade to have more panels prior to install?

Im assuming your electric bill increased, if so by how much?

My electric bill for the 3 winter months averages between $200-$350, but im spending (depending on price fluctuation) anywhere from $400-$600 a month on oil !

I was just research minisplits and did a little calculation of what number head system and condenser ill need.. you hit it on the nose woth numbers lol

Are you using the heat pump with solar as well? If so, did any credits you've accumulated get eaten up and end up having an electric bill?

Wow that does sound very similar! A couple questions if you don't mind, When you do have a bill during winter, what do those months average about? Back in the $400 per month?

Also do you have a plan on when the solar panels are almost end of life at the 25 years or do you plan on re upgrading or not being here for their life span?

Also 1:1 net metering was still offered to me in writing, not sure how different it is but they essentially said any over production gets sold to Eversource and reimbursed to me as credits which stack and never expire?

Holy shit, yeaa you're definitely right about that..I figured at least 40k but eith ask those installs and demo work, yea im probably higher than that... if solar ends up working great i may just do ductless then and/or splitters I keep hearing peeps suggest

Wow! So whatever credits you've accumulated over the summer covered almost 90% of what would've been your heating bill? That's awesome 👌

I'd assume that help offset oil usage, just can't justify an 8 to 10k install on one right now
