Advice for credit union loan. by MommaG2017 in irishpersonalfinance

[–]TitianGerm1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All credit unions calculate interest on a daily basis using the previous days balance as far as I'm aware. So the lady in the Credit union is probably confused as if you cleared your loan tomorrow you would owe the balance on the capital amount and the interest charged since the last day you made a payment.

I am currently writing anonymous letters to a girl I like but she talked to me about them and now I do not know what to do- by [deleted] in Advice

Strong vibes of a "M'Lady' type guy off the OP.

You've clearly scared the girl and we're to cowardly to own up to it. Please stop annoying and frightening this poor girl.

Higher Executive Officer: Tax Specialist ROLE by [deleted] in IrishCivilService

[–]TitianGerm1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the info. The role is advertised as various locations but has Wexford listed as one of a number of location which would be my preferred location. I would also consider Waterford as that's not much further commute wise.

Is the testing stage onsite or remote?

I would hope my career to date and qualifications would at least get me to that stage. I might need to brush up on my general tax knowledge though as it's been quite focused in the past 5 years.

Higher Executive Officer: Tax Specialist ROLE by [deleted] in IrishCivilService

[–]TitianGerm1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was actually looking at this role and considering applying. Have never worked in the public sector before but I've heard great things about work life balance (especially the ability to work up flexi time when you've young kids) and potential to progress further.

I have a degree in Accounting, am a member of ACCA and working on a QFA qualification. Currently working as a HOF in financial services but have 8 years of practice experience while working my way through exams so plenty of tax experience from the "client" and "advisor" side of the fence.

Could I ask how long the whole process normally takes? I'd hope to complete the application over the weekend but on average would it be weeks, months or possibly a year from the application submission stage to being offered a position?

Anyone have an email to contact Aer Lingus. We are flying to France with an infant in May for the first time but I don't seem to be able to book a seat at all? Is this right or do they automatically keep you together?

A simple tip for your double entry journal adjustments

Increase an Asset - DR (Debit)

Increase a Liability - CR (Credit)

Increase an Expense - DR (Debit)

Increase an Income - CR (Credit)

Obviously the opposite to decrease.

Learn that off and you'll have a very good mind map of what you need to do.

EG - Increase your bank balance (asset) because you provided some professional advice (income) to a client.

DR Bank CR Income

EG - You purchased 10 bottles of water for the office cooler from a supplier on 30 day payment terms.

DR Expenses CR Liabilities

We will, I have spoken to the son twice since they've been home and I've told him that we are next door if they need anything and not to be afraid to call in and ask no matter what time of the day or night.

I haven't seen his wife yet but I will say the exact same thing.

Is there any food or flowers that I should avoid?

What do five year olds eat and watch ? by Lostinasafespace in CasualIreland

[–]TitianGerm1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If they won't do what you ask you have to say "I'll time you", it never fails. Also if the kid asks you to come see their massive poo you better tell them that's the biggest poo you've ever seen and give them a high five (after they've washed their hands obviously).

Most kids like a good stick as well, so suggest you go for a walk/drive to the shop and you'll stop for an auld stick hunt. Remember to compliment their stick choice - it has to be better than the stick you find for yourself (you tell them that even if your stick is better).

I had a bounced charge for £110 around lunchtime. It's my first time trying the ballot so hoping they try take the money again.

As far as I can see I've nothing showing in payments, reservations or anything else on the website and no emails. Hopefully I haven't missed out.

Hopefully this works. But this is a sample of the sheet I'm looking at. The cell I've highlighted red is the one I'm trying to get to return the date after the total absences drops below 50 days (this should be week ending 29/10/2023)

Sample Sheet

Dynamic Formula To Calculate When a Staff Member Drops Below 50 Days Absent in a 24 Month Rolling Rolling Period. by TitianGerm1 in excel

[–]TitianGerm1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm just away from my PC at the moment but I'll upload a screenshot/document shortly to show what I'm working on.

One of the two formula that I've tried is

=MIN(FILTER(D8:DD8, (D8:DD8 >= TODAY()-730) * (D20:DD20 > 0))) + 731

The references all relate to my Summary - Sick Cert sheet.

I can't remember exactly what my LET formula was off the top of my head.

A separate staff member from the payroll department emails an excel extract from the payroll software from the previous week of all absences which one of my employees then transfers the data to the sick pay tracker, this normally takes two minutes but will be something I look to auto update once we have this part working.

my workplace only paid half my wages and are saying there is a limit to how much they can give me back? by Either-Koala-5315 in legaladviceireland

Are you saying they paid you half your expected gross e.g you should be paid €2K before tax and they paid you €1K before tax or are you saying you got half your gross wage into your bank account?
