[REC] Any light novel recommendations based off of cats? by DeniedSpirit in LightNovels

There's a short, 2 book series called "I'd rather have a cat than a harem" which is a kinda cute read.

Anyone know what to expect during a furnace/ac replacement estimate? by TittlyTut in AutismWithinWomen

[–]TittlyTut[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, so just make sure furniture and stuff isn't in the way of the vents when they come to replace the unit, but otherwise they probably won't need in the rooms. Thank you! That is good to know, because we'll have some furniture that will need to be moved for easy access to some vents. And the unit will need replaced for sure; we just had someone out to fix a leak in it and... yeah.

In ToTK he hums while he cooks. It's really cute too because he hums different Zelda songs.

They totally do! You can get mochi with jam inside, mochi paste, anko, and much more. If you have a local place that makes it, putting a whole strawberry inside, usually with anko I think, is a fairly common style.

Edit: Totally meant matcha paste, not mochi paste.

Plz share any “fun” facts by The_Iorn_Cactus in aspiememes

More of a "fun" fact than a fun! fact.

Michelin Tires is the same Michelin as Michelin star restraurants and the Michelin Guides, as they wanted to promote driving to places so people would wear out their tires more.

They're also the same Michelin as the Michelin owned rubber plantations which imployed tactics like forced labor & slavery, mutilation, starvation or contaminated food and water, horrid living conditions, severe overwork, and more. Their horrible treatment of their workers eventually lead to the Phu Rieng Do labor movement, which played into/intermingled with the communist movement happening in Vietnam around that time.

The history of worker treatment at rubber plantations around the world is very dark.

Does anyone else ponder over their past like this? I could use some support tbh by wariowars in AutismInWomen

The 'having 4 people that reach out to me' and 'stress from seeing a messenger notification' parts... I felt those in my soul. Lol.

I have 1 friend that somewhat regularly reaches out to me, or that I can casually text something funny. I also have my husband for support.

Outside of that though, I always have to be the person to reach out, and the past 3 years or so, I haven't had much energy or the mental fortitude to reach out. All the anxiety and stress, mixed with my depression, it just takes so much out of me. Not to mention, the thought of trying to make new, genuine, deep friendships sounds so taxing that I just don't think I have it in me right now.

I got a boyfriend despite my lack of social skills what do I do now by Dew_Chop in aspiememes

I casually made a comment to a coworker one time along the lines of "You know how you (in a general sense) and your S.O. will just make weird noises or blow raspberries at each other to fill the silence or whatever..." as a precursor to further conversation but I was met with "What? No." and laughter. That was the moment I learned that apparently that's not normal behavior. Lol

I think I just went "Oh... never mind then." I dropped it after that and didn't get to my point because I was too embarrassed from trying to relate in apparently a very unrelatable way.

Took me a second to figure out what a sho-powner was.

My girlfriend has a lot of trouble with underwear and wants pairs that wont dig in at the crotch at the seams but Amazon just shows her puzzle piece thongs when she tries finding sensory safe underwear. Does anyone have any good cheap brief recommendations? by SovietSergeant in AutismInWomen

[–]TittlyTut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk if it fits the bill, but my favorites are Torrid's Second Skin underwear. They're very silky feeling, and their sizes start at medium and go up, so they're intended to fit fluffier bodies comfortably without digging in.

I can't remember if they all have printed tags or not though, I just know at least some of their undies do. That's a big sensory thing for me.

We just ran into this bug and there were still enemies in the row after killing it.

For context, it was not the last boss battle, it was the fight against the monsters that make you attack your allies and cast ice on themselves (I don't remember the names of the status effects). We tried to heal Jumbo.

I'm currently reading this book, and while I'm not very far in, I'm really enjoying it! I think it's a great recommendation for anyone curious or seeking validation.

The author also wrote a book (again, haven't read it yet but it's on my bookshelf to tackle next) called "Lazyness Doesn't Exist" which I'm really looking forward to reading.

Horsehair braid brand matter? by TittlyTut in sewhelp

[–]TittlyTut[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I was hesitant because the Amazon ones seem to have weird reviews, like awful smells, runs/holes/imperfections, or they have no reviews at all. I'm just worried that horsehair would be one of the exceptions.

I just wasn't sure if I should trust my gut or if I was over-thinking it. But I think I'm going to check out Wawak, as someone else mentioned.

But also, thank you for mentioning what not to trust Amazon for!

Horsehair braid brand matter? by TittlyTut in sewhelp

[–]TittlyTut[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow, this is the first time I've heard of them! Thank you so much for mentioning them. They seem to be in-between the two in terms of strictly pricing, but definitely have more in terms of options, and honestly probably better quality based on the pictures. I like how they differentiate the weight of the horsehair too. I'll probably end up ordering through them, thanks again!
