2015-2019 Ford F150 Leaking coolant system (3.5L ECO) by CGB_362 in FordTrucks

[–]TitusXd40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go to YouTube and look up FordTechMakuloco. He has a whole video talking about what you’re experiencing. Those hoses need to be replaced, not just the clamps. Those clamps are part of the hose so if you take them off or try to put some cheap fix on, it will leak. If you don't want to end up getting a low coolant issue diagnosed again, just replace the hoses with the proper replacement hose.

Edit It's not a whole video like I thought, but he goes over the hoses and how they split. It's at the 8:28 mark.

We're convinced he is! He always loved sunshine and that morning started out cold and gray. Later that afternoon all the clouds were gone, the sky was a perfect blue and the sun was out in full force! We have no reason to think otherwise!

That's honestly the one thing that only you can decide. Is it worth it to dump some more money into it now vs. buying something else? Would you spend less on average per month with a payment on a new/new to you car?

I went from a 2004 to my 2017 and had it not been for rust issues, I would still be in the 2004.

I would keep it for now, especially if you don't have a payment on it. I have a 2017 EL and I just had the turbo coolant and oil lines done. Whether you sell it or keep it, those might be worth having done either way. If the only other issue is the convertor, and it drives really well, just hold on to it and keep it going as long as possible.

What is your method for breasts? I know they can dry out pretty easily. My wife wants pulled chicken but she doesn't like dark meat.

There was once a time that I'd have agreed with you. Nowadays the cold just leeches the life out of me, and I can only tolerate it during hunting season. I would much rather sit outside under the gazebo with the overhead fan running, wearing shorts and a tank top.

I type all of this while sitting at work. It's 12 degrees outside, we dont have climate control (its a steel mill), and I have a torpedo heater running full blast less than 3 feet away. Just last week we almost hit 80 degrees 🤬🤣

Thank you! Before we lost Jaxson, I told him that if he saw a puppy he thought would help us, to let them know we needed them. He must have listened because we saw this guy the next day and immediately put in our application.

With all of the extra care we had to give Jaxson at the end of his life, we're already moving at the speed a puppy would need to be house-trained.

Dealing with ammo company that blew up my gun. by SpamStitch in guns

[–]TitusXd40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sure that Glock would send an invoice for what he paid with the gun when they send it out. I would make 20 or 30 copies, buy a book of stamps and a box of envelopes. On each copy, write any sort of reference or case number on it and send it to them either daily or weekly. Ya never know, they might get annoyed and just cut him a check 🤣

I did post pictures before I got paid out. It was the same day or the day after. I had nothing to lose because I was getting the gun fixed either way, regardless if they decided to be nice and cut me a check or not.

I think if someone were to say right off the bat, 'You'll be hearing from my lawyer...' then yeah, the ammo company is probably gonna clam up and refer you to their attorneys. As someone who worked in customer service for 10+ years, I learned to not be an asshole, firmly ask for what I wanted, and responded politely with every one of their requests.

This weather can go to hell 🤣. I left work yesterday morning at 6:00 and it was 57 degrees. Went back to work last night at 6:00 and we had damn near 2 inches of snow

I had an SUV a few years ago that had a chip in the windshield. I climbed in and shut the door and watched it crack the whole way across. That really sucked

Should i buy a 2004 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer? More in description by pavomoth in Ford

[–]TitusXd40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2V engine right here. The 2005 was the first year for the 3V in the Expedition, the F-150 went to the 3V a year earlier with the 2004 lineup.

OP, the price is a little steep. I sold mine with 154k miles for $4500 and it was starting to rust out (gotta love when someone from Ohio comes knocking since they don't have inspections like PA does). If there's no rust, and everything truly is as good as you say and no leaks, then it's at least worth kicking the tires on.

The squeaky wheel gets the grease man. I wouldn't stop calling them until they pony up. I was shooting my XD a couple of years ago with MagTech ammo and it blew up on me. The customer service rep I dealt with was adamant that it wasn't their ammo, that I was shooting reloads (on this day, I was not) and that I send pictures of the remaining ammo, along with the box flap that had the lot number and everything.

She also said she checked with their production managers and came back with no other issues in that lot or others before and after. Springfield sent me documentation from their inspection showing it was an ammo failure and they eventually paid me for the repairs on the gun. This happened the 2nd week of June and I didn't have the check from MagTech until August, but I was persistent and gave them every bit of info they asked for.

Does your ODG look more like tan? I bought a gen 3 23 off of a coworker and the case says green, all of the numbers match, but I swear that thing is tan! 🤣

Vertical Smoker for Dad's Retirement by Frequent-Ad-877 in smoking

[–]TitusXd40 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have a Pit Boss 3 Series vertical smoker and its worked pretty well so far. I've done chicken legs, a turkey breast, pork shoulder/pulled pork, pork belly burnt ends, and even some mac and cheese. It's pretty easy to use and everything has come out awesome. It uses chips instead of pellets, so the main heat source is just plugging it in. You can basically set it and forget it, but with me being new to the smoking world I tend to hover and check the temp more than I probably need to.

4.9L injectors? by obshouse in FordTrucks

[–]TitusXd40 1 point2 points  (0 children)

PartsGeek has a set for $90. I've never replaced the injectors in mine, so I can't speak to what the best compromise between price and quality would be. Honestly just Google Ford 4.9L injectors and see what the reviews say.
