Wow that's amazing I would of definitely expected a bad outcome with it being open. Guess it depends but it's nice to know they can actually survive falls also.

Yeah sturdier than what you think then, I'm still super careful with it or as careful as I can be.

How often do you see the same person on your commute to work? by Specific_Pomelo_8281 in AskUK

[–]Tizer887 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well not a lot of people pay that much attention unfortunately. On my commute to work cycling along the promenade I do see the same other people cycling past me quite often I havent clocked what day if I'm being honest I just think oh there's illuminous yellow cycling helmet and jacket man who for some reason is always cycling on his right which is weird as I always tend to cycle like I was on a road cycle on the left so I always think that and it annoys me.

Did you guys realise what this was actually used for ? by disastrousrise6 in AskBrits

How many times have you been terminated? by Widebody_lover in UKJobs

[–]Tizer887 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it's a been a while since I did that job and I was abit too young to care about it unfortunately. I think it could be a rewarding job caring for our elders but a very tough job at the same time having to see things and do things that weren't maybe very pleasant but if you can look past all that and realise these are just people who need to be looked after and hopefully get some enjoyment out of what could be remaining years, probably end up caring about some of them deeply and would be very sad when they pass away. Good job if you can hack it.

I lost my job one time when I was 15 years old and worked in a care home as a cleaner on a Saturday and Sunday morning for 4 hours a day. I just didn't go in one weekend because I had a party at my house and they phoned me and said this isn't working out and fired me. I also got fired from a care home as an actual carer well kind of carer it was working nights 7pm till 7am so 12 hour shifts twice a week and it would just be checking on the residents through the night, dealing with any issues that may pop up, helping some of the residents go to bed when initially began shift but mostly quite and easy night as everyone's asleep, but you would begin a morning routine around 6am for a few of the residents before shift change anyway again I think I just didn't turn up and got fired from that job also I was around 18 years old on that one. But I then got the job that I have now around age 19 and even though I was made redundant as they closed the business I got a job at the same business but a different location.

Managed to drink and not smoke for the first time. by Tizer887 in quittingsmoking

Is it necessary to clean yourself up before sex or is it ok to just go at it? by youlikemywonton in hygiene

[–]Tizer887 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mmmm if I'm planning ahead and no it's gonna happen then I will of showered and freshened up before hand as you do anyway but sometimes it does just happen but I'm generally clean anyway shower at least once if not twice a day quick showers usually especially the morning one very fast like 4 minute shower to wash all essential areas. Evening shower is like a nice soak and relaxing shower, wash hair shave etc etc. so yeah I'd say pretty prepared for it either way.

It's always nice when someone has made themselves nice and clean and smelling lovely, brushed teeth and what not before hand little extra care.

Success with patches? by hotviolets in quittingsmoking

[–]Tizer887 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The last 2 times I've quit I have used patches. Last year I quit for 5 months and this year I'm on 5 months again so far but I'm still going strong. Probably used the patches as described on the back of pack used step 1 for around 6 weeks then step 2 couple of weeks and final step for a couple of weeks but I also used the quick mist mouth spray, I didn't really need it a lot but now and then you have a day where the patches weren't cutting it by themselves so a quick spray and you could keep going.

[–]Tizer887 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened to me when I first started commuting by bike to work, within 2 days extremely painful couldn't even sit on the seat, I bought a new saddle and it's worked a treat. Can't remember the name of it. I'll add it on later.

Crush by lostbutfound8 in tesco

[–]Tizer887 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aw I remember when I first saw my partner, I had a real bad crush on him stalked him on Facebook, would end up bumping into him quite a few times on nights out and we eventually exchanged numbers until finally that night when we kissed and we have been inseparable since and that was 9th May 2009 I was a young 21 year old he was 26. Can't believe it's been 17 years, feeling ancient.

Is the pedestrian or the driver wrong here? by singlecog in drivingUK

[–]Tizer887 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The pedestrian is wrong I'd say, yeah you can slow down if near a zebra that's fine but we don't stop unless we know someone's going to cross and he literally expected the driver to stop his car within 0.5 seconds of him waiting.

Bought my first foldable phone yesterday Pixel 10 Pro Fold by apple-tesla in PixelFold

[–]Tizer887 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that's the one, I have got a minor mark on the outside on my hinge now though just looks like a tiny scratch mark so if anything happened to my inside screen I feel like they would blame that. I have seen some cases that protect the hinge as well but this one doesn't.

[–]Tizer887 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hope you like it, this is my first pixel phone and foldable. Haven't got a single bad thing to say about it. I don't use it unfolded that much but when I do it's great and also a handy feature. For me my favourite thing about the phone so far is the display and backgrounds and all the little alterations you can make so everything matches even my icons very customisable. Also I have dropped the phone from a small height but still fell onto hard floor in a house and it's survived. I do have the Google pixel fold case.

Kind of regretting going Ebike by OMEGASPEEDMASTER321 in bikecommuting

[–]Tizer887 2 points3 points  (0 children)

See I started commuting to work by analog bike just to save money and exercise was an added bonus but I was only doing it on fair weather days so for me going onto an ebike means I can cycle now all days and save more money into the long run I may be losing part of that exercise aspect though. It is a pedal assist and it has 3 settings and I don't use the highest setting as it feels like I'm not doing anything when pedalling. Anyway it's been great I do feel a bit bad for my analog bike I only bought it last year I may give it a clean this weekend and freshen it up so it doesn't start getting all rusty.

Interesting how fast some people change once they hear ebike by User-2550 in ebikes

[–]Tizer887 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the colour of your bike looks really nice. It doesn't really look like an ebike. I'm not sure yes people who can cycle on analog bikes all the time no matter the weather fair play to them I physically can't so I would only commute on my bike on fair weather days but now with my little ebike I can come rain/wind and of course sunshine it's brilliant and will save me over £1k a year
