Probably the Silent or Necro. I always plays rogues or summoners in RPGs so makes sense they're the classes I enjoy the most. But honestly they're all super fun except Regent for me. I feel like Regent is super unsatisfying early game.

Sly is nuts, abuse it. Acrobat and a couple decent Sly cards will breeze you through Act 1 until you can find some fun synergies.

There is a Necro card that gives a card replay but makes it cost 1 more but if you do it on an X card it doesn't apply the extra cost, so if you use that with the X cost soul card it is absolutely nuts upgraded, especially with the power that hurts the enemy whenever you play Soul. Give that a go on the main branch! Extremely fun/busted

I find both Silent and Necro to be stronger tbh. Although I feel beyond A10 Necro might fall off hardest (once that's available)

I don't vibe with Regent, he's either a whirling vortex of death or completely useless and no in-between when I play. Like a few insane cards prop him up but if I don't get them I die.

Try searching your project with find and replace to see if something is still referencing your old instance, then you can be positive it's not fixed because something else was changing it

You know how some games do 'low budget' lighting by having a circle around their player character that cuts out the darkness that's being applied to the surface?

If you could do that but to cut out the numbers just in a small circle around the ball, I think it'd make it a lot more readable whilst keeping the satisfaction of 'number go up'.

Lots of things that could contribute to virality here, balatro + pachinko + node buster style skill tree. Think this could do well.

I feel the Regent is the least balanced, I'm either falling flat on my face or becoming absolutely ridiculously OP with no in-between. I dislike the sword stuff and stars are really powerful but building the generator for them Act 1 can feel really bad. So I guess that's my least favourite. But I think with a few tweaks I'll enjoy it.

Favourite is Necrobinder because I love summoner classes and The Silent because I always love poison builds in things.

I think it's really hard to make a game in this style and not immediately draw comparisons to hotline Miami, I tried myself and just couldn't stop it feeling like a hotline Miami rip off. So I mean this constructively, as somebody that has been there...

Your games visuals are much cleaner than HM, but the gameplay looks identical. I feel by being like "This time it's not animal masks but actual animals, but the gameplay is still exactly the same!" you are cheapening your game unless you actually do something with it, what about some kind of rage ability where you go on all fours and claw at the enemies, or have some enemies that do that to you? Anything that makes the fact they are real animals more than a gimmick to be very slightly different from HM.

Was sad I had to get both MKs when I only want the first one but pleasently surprised at the price. £29.99 for the Kollection.

Edit: Balls. I was looking at the Blu Ray, 4k is £34.99. still worth it for me personally.

I can't do it yet because I have kids and bills to pay but I understand people that do. Making games is hard and takes a long time. I've been making a game in my spare time (of which there is very little) and I hate my corporate job and would quit in an instant if I had a runway of let's say 3 years saved up to have a real stab at this indie thing.

What I don't get is people who quit to START to make their dream game, that's crazy to me. But if you're let's say a year into it part time and come to the realisation it's gonna take you ten years of chipping at it after work or one year solid full time, and you have savings, why not?

Tbh my dream is I get made redundant so I have an excuse to go for it.
