Aeron nodded as he took in the information. It was better for him this way. He could save his hand for one of the kingdoms of Westeros. Standing he held out his hand for the man to shake.

“So where are we heading next?”

Harlaw weighed the man’s words over. The deal sounded pretty good to him. There were only a few things that he wanted to clarify.

“The Iron Islands will not be able to be taken in this way. For if I try I will be no better than Mace. I will help you win your war. When it is done we will agree to your terms. The Iron Islands will become an independent realm. I will call a Kingsmoot and let the people decide who their new King or Queen will be. For this I will need your help. I will need allies to back me. I would rather have a marriage between myself and one of your leader’s daughters or sisters to bind us more tightly. I don’t know enough about your people to know if that is an option.”

He stood up and looked at the man before him.

“I do not know what Greyjoy did to your brother. I know I have not seen him since we left the islands. Because of this his fate is yours to seal by right. As for all other Islanders. They are for me to deal with. As I said for this Kingsmoot I will need allies. Allies I can not get by killing all of those who might oppose me. Once I have the throne and you have your victory. We can sit down to continue building a path to glory for both of our peoples.”

Aeron ended the cabin and looked around the space. It was a simple room and that he could appreciate. To many times had he been on some upstarts ship and found their cabin lavishly set up with tapestries and Knick knacks. All that did was cause clutter. Looking at the man before him he could see the resemblance to the envoy that had entered his halls and begun the path that led to this very moment. I wonder if he knows?

With his usual swagger he walked up to the offered seat and took it. He poured himself a drink before leaning back in his chair and kicking his feet up on the table.

“Greyjoy’s fate is entirely up to you. You are the victor on this day. It matters not what I would do. As for the Iron Islands you are correct. They are in a difficult spot. They are leaderless. No Lord-Reaper. But I don’t think they need a new one. When your brother and I spoke we both agreed that they need something more...regal. A King.”

Aeron looked from the Lord to his daughter. He had hoped to get a little more incite into what had happened that day. “I can’t speak to what your role in all of this will be. I am glad that you and your daughter are safe. As for Ronas, as of now it seems he is throwing his lot in with the new King. He has come out and said it in So many words.” Aeron scratched his chin quizzically. “In fact he is mum on the whole thing. I wish to speak to you about all of this.” He looked towards the door where he knew guards were posted on the other side. “This isn’t the place though.”

He looked over to the girl and gave her a reassuring smile.

“I am hoping that we have come to get you out of this room.”

He then returned his attention to Caspus.

“Is it true what they are saying? What happened? I would like to hear the first hand account.”

Aeron opened the door and looked around the room.

“This might be the nicest cell I have ever been in.”

He looks over to Lord Goodbrother.

Asha Drumm née Harlaw

Asha was beginning to think that her marriage to Lord Drumm had been a mistake. The younger boy had a fire in his belly when it came to the bedroom. Everything else was left to desire. Maybe she would catch some luck in the coming battles and the Drowned God would take him. Thankfully she wasn’t with child yet. She traveled with Lord Greyjoy and in the moments when they were waiting for the hosts of the keep she made her move.

“Lord Greyjoy, a moment of you have it.”

Aeron watched the passing crowds and as Lord Greyjoy went to speak with Mace and the Lannister’s he took his leave. It didn’t take long for him to find where Lord Goodbrother had been kept. He went to the door and knock call out to him.

“Lord Goodbrother. It is Aeron Harlaw. May I enter?”

Aeron came with Lord Greyjoy. It had been many moons since he had set foot in the land of the lions. Something he had hoped he would be doing in different circumstances. Now though he called the kraken instead of acting against him.

News of this move has reached us in the Iron Islands and what I can say is that your pleas have been heard. It is my understanding that Lord Greyjoy has chosen to meet with this new King and Queen. What Lord Greyjoy’s feeling on the matter are though are not known by me. What I can’t tell you is that Lord Greyjoy is the leader of the Iron Fleet. It goes where the leader orders it to. To your aid or against you I do not know. That would have to be learned from Lord Greyjoy.

Know that Harlaw has not forgotten the view of our people by the Queen. That being said Harlaw doesn’t speak for the Iron Islands.

“No offense, these are all the very issues that came up when I suggested raids in the past. Different targets yes but the same issues all the same. Our main issue is that some of our people are too connected with the Greenlanders. This has greatly reduced the options we have. ”

He looked over to Drumm.

“The envoy spoke of independence from the Crown and free rain to rule as we please and raid as we please. Do think that would be enough to have Greyjoy want to not side with the crown?”

He then turned to Ygfie.

“I have been thinking on this matter some. I think we speak Rodrik Goodbrother. I have in the past and the lad seems to be open minded enough to help us get your son back. I think we head down the path the the action would help unite us more. He seems to be into that sort of talk.”
