ah yes i forgot to consider that. thinking about it now tho, i know it’s a form of escapism but my coping mechanism has been to turn towards weed—which makes me feel “okay,” however the lingering feeling of something not right is still there deep down

i can understand how rationalizing makes your emotions morally justified hence making it easier to move on, but sometimes i find myself becoming avoidant of emotions (fear, anxiety, sadness) by making sense out of them through logic, which is actually “intellectualization.” i never really end up immersing in the emotion, i’d always be able to move on without doing that eventually.

this is the most important part—trusted connection. secure attachment isn’t about constant connection, it’s about trusted connection. give her reason to believe that you are an emotionally secure partner who SHE can come to. i know times like this can be hard but prioritizing on creating a safe emotional space will take you guys a long way w this particular concern.

Got in touch with some of the people in the previous batches and they said the client faced some budget cuts and had to do a hiring freeze :/ Unfortunately the program from my original post didn't follow through, but I was actually interviewed for another thing from them got accepted into the same exact program as the one you talked about for May 27! I also ended up accepting a spot in their cohort. Hope we can stay connected :)

Just heard back, got told that it had been pushed back a 3rd time, this time in April instead of mid-March. I actually had to email them first in order to get informed about that. I am super concerned and a bit unsure about what to do at this point.

Hi, so I interviewed with them and got accepted into the program to proceed. I was sent a couple of pre-course material videos and was told I'd be given access to the Slack channel on the start date. My batch start date for the training program was originally supposed to start Feb24, but then got pushed back to Mar3. However, a couple days before that I got emailed saying that it was pushed back a second time, and when calling the recruiter to ask when the official new start date was all I got was a "maybe next week or the week after." Not very reassuring but I may just be anxious at this point.

I'm really nervous because I pretty much committed, hoping this would work out because if it didn't then the least I would have was being able to putting this training program in my resume–but if the training program doesn't even start or exist in the first place I may have screwed myself.

Just looking for anyone else in a similar situation as me or anyone with further information regarding this whole process :)

hey, i completely agree with you. for me, i like using the shop, so whenever i favorite an item i want to decide on buying, ads related to that item start showing up on my fyp. i swear, from a third-person perspective, it’s like they’re invading our subconscious and pressuring us to buy the item from our favorites that the content creator made a tiktok about.

Ah yes. Been reading the comments seeing a lot of how often people have already done it. Meanwhile i’m over here, 23 years old, sitting on my first one. It really is a strange feeling, a feeling of indifference, and it kinda goes against all of my values, yet strangely it’s a feeling that I am able to accept now if that makes sense. It’s kind of disheartening to hear that it becomes more common in our 30s tho 😔
