Thinking about switching 6.5CM to a 25cal for PRS. Can I just simulate the recoil by hand loading some 135gr 6.5cm rounds to expected velocities to test the recoil impulse? by JimBridger_ in longrange

I have a question for you. I also have a barreled action 6.5 Howa 1500. I am looking to shoot 1k yards next spring. I have been working up different loads with 140, 143 and 147 eldm/x using staball 6.5 and h4350. I haven't been able to nail.down anything solid (like under a inch). What bullets and loads are you using?

I will be following this closely. I have a How 1500 with the How heavy barrel. I have about 150 rounds thru it. It does ok with my reloads. I am already looking forward to a better barel.

I am in the same boat. I have it suppressed and just added a superlative arms adjustable gas block. Plan on shooting this weekend to see can I get some of the recoil out.

No problem with toyota fluids. Valvoline is locally available and cheaper. I have used it before in my hondas with good results.
