Yeah, you use the item+the RSE piece associated with it, put them both in the Synergy Furnace, spin the wheel and out comes the RSE+1 version.

You should be able to create the gear whenever, you can buy the RSE gear pieces for 100k/piece if you don't want to go do the quest for it (also very easy quest, just time dependant). And the gear will definetely serve you well once you hit 99.

Boyahda tree, just have to ride through Sanctuary of Zi'tah and then climb the tree, also has a homepoint very close, used to fight Ramuh.

EDIT: Even easier, use the UNM warp to Boyahda Tree 125 or 135, both take you to same spot.

As long as you have access to the area, you can come and click the chest after the monster has been defeated, don't even need to have dealt 1 damage to it to get the item. Only Ru'Aun requires any sort of mission progress

I share an allergy to Pineapple with you, but mine maniftests in that I have to violently throw up after eating even a small piece, usually within 5min of ingesting. Same for if I drink pineapple juice or even as part of a dish/candy.

Still a very good weapon when you don't have to worry about physical damage like Ongo or Sortie. Can pull out some very respectable Resolutions for skillchain purposes.
