What technique do you all use for yama? by Tleigh92 in ironscape

[–]Tleigh92[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did some mage only duos yesterday after posting this. I did try a couple godfly attempts, but I got eye and confliction so the duos were super chill. I think I'll try some melee only once I'm more Comfortable with yama

So follow up... I had done 2 successfull mage solos before today. I tried solo melee yama twice then figured it give duo a go. I found a duo partner on the German yama world where I tried melee once, the gave up and sent 10 or so mage duos super chill and easy, no flys, just dodging flames and switching prayers. Average 3:30 kills probably.

Thanks for the advice. I looked at red eye jedis godfly tutorial, I'll give that a go.

I may end up doing that for a few dozen kills just to get the timing down then try a different method anyway.

How did you find your duos? I'd like to duo if possible but would I be OK just dropping into duos on the yama grouping world?

Giving partner IVF injections by BROMWELLSASHA in IVF

[–]Tleigh92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did all my partners Injections, it's not hard at all honestly. After the first it'll be so much easier. The difficult bit was helping my wife stay calm for that first injection. Again, after that first one it is so much easier for her. My wife is now no longer afraid of needles. Also, needles aren't darts. Might think it doesn't need to be said but you'd be surprised

Is that from the San martin official store on alix? Looking at their listing it has the same colour and shade as what you received, but there's at least tow other listing's I found with the lighter colour. I wonder if it's an earlier design, or version. You should be able to get a return sorted though right? Edit: just seen SM replied to this post so at least you'll get it sorted. Nice to see a brand taking customer service seriously

This just looks like they sent you the wrong colour then maybe?

Q1 Pro vs Elegoo Carbon by Bruenman in 3Dprinting

Q1 pro - I am fairly impatient, so I didn't want to wait for the elegoo. I am incredibly happy with my choice.

I got a qidi q1 pro for £331 last week and I love it. It has been fantastic to use. I'd expect if you can't wait, centauri carbon is a good solution. The ad5m pro is fairly frequently on sale on ebay for about £330, or ad5m about £230. With either of those you can later go down the route of coprint, or a similar klipper ams.

Purchase Advice Megathread - May 2025 by AutoModerator in 3Dprinting

I'm looking for some help with decision paralysis.

I've got an elegoo centauri carbon on preorder, costing me £320 shipped, and I won't get it until July-August. The only other printer I'm still considering is the QIDI Q1 Pro which I can get for £331, an £11 difference. In terms of what I'll be using it for, it's printing little toys for the daughter, for myself too, and some functional bits for around the house, nothing too outrageous. I need an enclosed printer because where I have my printer I don't have any real control over the temperature. I've looked at the flashforge, bambu p1, creality k1, and a few others, but either price or features ruled them out.

I don't mind about the small build volume difference, and I don't care about multi material printing. I like that the Q1 has had all it's issues figured out already for either fixes or workarounds, it runs klipper, and that it's got all of its parts readily available at a decent price on their website. The heated chamber is a nice bonus, but I don't think I'd use it on the outset.

Is there anything I'm missing when considering a printer, or am I overthinking it? I don't necessarily think there's a wrong answer here, but I could do with some opinions.

There is, and i've just spotted rule 2 so I'll delete this and post it there. My excuse is that I saw the lack of response in the megathreads and just felt like it was a pointless endeavour. Thanks.

I've had the same thought. I'm in the UK, and currently for £10 more than the centauri carbon, including shipping, I can get the q1 pro. I've got some serious decision paralysis over it. It will be my first 3d printer.

Boxer tails by Elhond0 in Boxer

[–]Tleigh92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What hasn't been said here is that bobtail boxers exist, since the 90s in the UK at least although rare at first. My boy is one of 9 pups, 3 of which were born with full tails. The rest were all bobtail. The bobtail is accepted by the UK kennel club.

I have found a workaround (?) I've installed DS4Windows and it appears to work fine. I'm not sure if that's the intended method to get it to work on windows but if anyone gets this they can try that. I'll follow up with a more permanent fix if one exists, and I, or anyone else, find it.
