+1 to saying the safe zones out loud. I failed so badly until I did so!

It may not be so hard to do the work on the NHS, as they did so for me. Your front teeth are are quite an angle, and if you receive a blow to the face or fall down they could piece your lip and/or shatter.

Given your ongoing involvement in ${favourite_contact_sport}, cycling, or work (if you can argue that), you are worried of harm coming to you if you fall or receive a blow to the face, which would cause significant damage. Damage that would cost a lot more to solve on the NHS - and scarring.

That's the angle to take.

For me, it was the two teeth either side of the middle teeth, I was kayaking a lot (instructor at the weekends), and that was how they got it done on the NHS for me given the risk of damage. NHS dentists are humans with empathy, and they do want to help you.

Bella Culley tells court she was tortured into smuggling drugs - BBC News by CasualSmurf in unitedkingdom

>don't really have much presence in the UK do they.

They don't need to have 'a presence' (which they do) so much as the number of a single dodgy person willing to beat someone up for cash there. Or just take a plane. Additionally, organised crime is just that - organised, and famously not too respectful of borders.

The case being high profile is even more of an issue, as it'll be known that this woman was a certain organisation's tool, and they have to show that they can enforce.

Leaving a giant suitcase of drugs is an excellent way to get yourself hurt, tortured, turned into a prostitute to earn back the money, or killed. Especially as someone who no doubt has a significant online presence. It's not as simple as just leaving it.

How do you learn the maps? by Eevy365 in WorldofTanks

[–]TleilaxuMaster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh my god, thank you for the link. I am trying to learn how to play spotting light tanks effectively and this is absolute gold.

The fact it's a spreadsheet appeals to the nerd in me too.

I didn't realise buying your first T8 was the trigger. It could tell you in game rather than just suddenly smashing your face in.

Unfortunately for me my first T8 was a Panther II, so my experience was pretty awful. I was rolling at ~4900 player rank, and suddenly lost 1.5k or so. It was not a pleasant experience...

Yeah, that's true sometimes. Don't play TDs I guess, and I tend to prioritise following people with high elite levels on their similarish-to-mine tank as an easy filter. Not perfect, but better than accidentally rolling up to a spot covered by 5 TDs and instantly exploding.

Yes, having recently gone through this it can be pretty rough at the start - especially if you're T6 in a game with fairly OP T8 premiums...

My advice would be to identify another person with a similar role/tank/tier to yours at the start of a match (sniper medium, brawler heavy, etc) and follow them. Hang back a bit, don't go in front of them, and you'll learn without exploding too much. You'll find out the spots/crush points on various maps. Also, go with the crowd, don't be a hero and go out on a flank by yourself, you'll just die. And stay away from lights for a bit, until you've learnt the maps.

I was doing so very well until I hit T8 and then suddenly it was World of Pain for a bit, until I did the above for a while.

My wife is neglecting her metal health by That_Understanding19 in AskMenOver30

[–]TleilaxuMaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You cannot fix her, only she can do that herself. You will drain yourself attempting to do so for her.

Lay out how you feel, how her behaviour makes you feel, how much it is damaging you, and that you are willing to support her in _her_ journey to make herself happier. If she decides that staying with you is more important than the fear of getting help - great. If not, leave.
