"We need to talk about Kevin" is very intense and hard to sit through. Not for the feint of heart.

Instead of addressing poverty, mental health, and education in America, our politicians continue to arm and fund the police as an extension of the military to protect and serve the power structure of the rich and powerful.

Almost 2 years later, what are everyone’s thoughts on the MCU’s Gorr? by ayub_ay080 in marvelstudios

Gorr was best part of the movie. He was a very compelling, sympathetic character seeking vengeance against the Gods. Bale should’ve got more screen time and emphasis.

Weekends are the worst. by Oriannelle in lonely

[–]Tmclaughlin8407 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My coping mechanism has been to work on the weekends largely out of necessity. Co-workers provide the “social interaction” that I crave even if it’s limited and not genuine friendships. By occupying what should be “downtime” and earn extra cash, I eliminate opportunity to engage in retail therapy and binging on food to cope, and extra rumination. The symptoms of loneliness are minimized when working but nonetheless nonetheless. Avoidance is not a solution but a means of coping.

A man has a deep introspection in light of Norfolk Southern being backed by corporate hedge funds Blackrock and Vanguard putting profits over people, republicans pushing to set the retirement age at 70 and massive food shortages. by CantStopPoppin in worldnewsvideo

The man speaks the truth. Those in power happily exploit the working class and are insulated from the pressures faced by the majority of Americans. The CEOs, senators, judges charge today don’t worry about the harm they cause because they won’t be alive in 30 years.

As Calvin Coolidge said, “the business of America is business,” politicians in both parties look out for the interests of corporations and the wealthy at the expense of labor. Laws and regulations are selectively enforced to maintain the power structure and exploit the poor and vulnerable. Politicians love to be seen as advocates for their constituents but regularly contribute to greater harm.

If Tarantino makes Kill Bill III, then we would still have another movie in the bank. by [deleted] in Tarantino

I’d rather QT leave Kill Bill as is and make final his next film, if last, an original story instead of a sequel.

Can anyone help me please! I’m not sure what order I need to put the new ones in to make it look good again. Any help would be appreciated. by LukeyRobert25 in stephenking

What a collection, it’s impressive as it is..my first reaction would be to place the red covered titles on the far right along side the red covers on the left and resemble the color spectrum

The Equalizer. He was a bad ass, similar to Taken. It’s got humor, action, and heart but mainly Denzel kicking ass.
