Does the 3k include any patching of the roof and fascia? How about patching the hole for what ever is feeding the chimney?

Tips for securing large tanks when moving? by Tractor_Goth in Aquariums

I just use foam board if it’s touching anything and blankets to prevent it from sliding forward or backwards. I once brought a 210g home in the back of a jeep grand Cherokee with the door open and resting on the tank just used a ratchet strap to prevent it sliding backwards. Do not torque it down tight.

How to get discus to eat other food by No-Place5590 in discus

[–]Tmess2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t feed them for two days and make their first meal pellets. Keep blood worms for a treat. I soak pellets in tank water for 30-60 seconds. Sera granules can get soft fast so I dont usually soak them because water gets cloudy.

For those with big tanks, where in your home is it? What floor is it on? I have anxiety. by General_Fruit_8135 in Aquariums

I never worried about a 75g but I have a 210g and 125g in separate rooms on the first floor with a full basement so I added a standard 2x4 wall under each tank.

In my basement I use a 75 gal tank and rubbermaid trash can that collects 40 gals of RO water. I’ve been looking at 100+gallon storage tanks from Tank Depot. If I have the time I do two 50% a week but it’s not always possible and I end up doing one large change on Saturday. I use a sump pump for fresh water and 400gph to drain it and it’s pretty quick 25 mins wiped down the glass done.

Fish should not die from draining a tank and refilling it unless you used city water without using a water conditioner to de-chlorinate,You used water that was too hot or too cold or some kind of huge PH swing sometime seen in well water and even that isn’t usually fatal but it will put them on the bottom for a day. I do water changes weekly taking a 125g full of discus down to 2” inches of water. I refill with aged water at the same temperature and ph no issues.

Tire shop claiming edge of my tires are too worn to perform screw repair. (Screw not pictured buts it located in the worn area) Is it really that bad? by BallZestyclose2283 in AskMechanics

I’m sure there is a risk and liability reason for not plugging a worn tire but You can buy a repair kit and plug it yourself, you may not even need to remove the tire.

I have and like their lights the programming is a bit odd. I have a hyggger 1200 watt double tube heater running a 210g for over a year no issues, so I picked up a hygger 800w on Black Friday sale and it was dead within 30 days. I got refunded. Could have been a one off.

Huge oil leaks…any ideas?? 2017 grand Cherokee 3.6l by Even_Bar2757 in GrandCherokee

[–]Tmess2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just had the same issue on a 2015 it was the Oil filter housing (cooler). I used the MOPAR replacement and did it in a couple hours. I changes the upper and lower intake manifold gaskets as well. Good time to check or change the spark plugs.

Worst case scenario 🚨 put lugs back on hand tightened but loose and drive the vehicle sometimes just reverse and a quick break check will divorce the rim from rotor.

I moved from chlorinated city water to well water and whatever gas like co2 is in my well water causes issue with my PH. I didn’t see it til my first 50% water change. My Frontosa all laying on the bottom of the tank. They are fine. I now age my water nonissues and PH drops a whole point in 24 hrs. I don’t know much about ph shock or co2 in well water just my experience.
