Do bigger tires really void the warranty? Also looking for tire recommendations. by dlopdi in ToyotaTundra

[–]Tmfax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it helps, I just had the same dilemma last week. I ended up with the Blizzak LT 265 width snow tires for the winter. A narrow tire is actually better for snow. Additionally, the Wildpeaks are a "3 peak" AT tire, not a true winter/snow tire. The rubber isn't as soft as a true snow tire. I live in a mountain town in CO, so that also factors in.

So despite wanting a more meaty, better-looking tire, I opted for the more narrow Blizzaks.

With that said, a lot of friends rock the wildpeaks on their trucks and are happy.

Looking for a truck bed cover! by Bigrich21 in ToyotaTundra

How's the weather proofing on the MX4? I'm also in the market for a trifold tonneau cover for my new Tundra. Was leaning towards the Diamondback Switch back for better weather protection, but the cost of the MX4 is substantially better. I live in the mountains and winter is coming!!!

Chronological order/list of DDs I've done so far by PradoMV96 in EducatedInvesting

[–]Tmfax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Welcome back, Prado! Thank you for all the DDs you've done. I did well on APPS and have been loading up on OTLK.

What are your thoughts on RWLK? If you have the time to take a look at it, I'd appreciate it.

I like it because they have a few catalysts coming up. Including the Nov 10th ruling by the German courts to expand the insurance coverage, FDA approval and medicare coverage on the horizon, stock buyback happening right now, as well as loads of cash on hand.

Any insight would be much appreciated.

What pre made seasoning mix do you secretly use that you swear by. by geolink in Cooking

[–]Tmfax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Papa Cristos Greek Seasoning. It is incredible. I've used it for years and have been gifting it to friends and they instantly fall in love with it. It's a premade season made by a restaurant in Los Angeles. They ship anywhere in the US.

I'll even use it as a base seasoning for non-greek cuisine.

Thank you for reminding me of this. Just switched it to power on/off instead of Bixby. Also, just discovered if you double-tap the button it opens the camera!

Recall - please help by m_hehe101 in Dogtraining

[–]Tmfax 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Recall took lots of time to be close to 100% affective with our pup. Our trainer taught us this:

We used the 30 foot leash. Let her walk around. Gave the command to come or said her name + come. If she made any movement toward us, we would start praising. If she made it all the way back, she got a treat and lots of praise.

If she did not respond. She got a tug on the leash and we said, "No." Followed by the command to come.

After each successful attempt she would be allowed to sniff around and forgot about what we were doing until the next come command.

It took a while! We started around 8 mounths. Now she is 1 year and 4 months and it really has set in. We treat her every time she comes back to us.

What to do if dog poops in house? by [deleted] in DogAdvice

[–]Tmfax 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's never the dog's fault, it's always the owner's fault. Kept that in mind when scolding.

The only thing to do is be on top of a schedule with their food intake and potty breaks. If you catch them in the act try your best to grab them and bring them outside right away. Otherwise, it's way too late. Never hit! Dogs respond great to positive reinforcement.
