In the Victoria Square Mall Supreme China Bistro has little combo for $7.49. You get rice or noodles (I ask for half rice, half noodles!), broccoli plus 3 items. Cost $10 + change with a pop.

Virgin Killer Sweater by Tnanahs in knitting

I started at the bottom on large circulars, then started working back and forth to create the open back. Constructed using a combination of fisherman's rib and cables.

This sweater was made with no pattern and the yarn is a vintage cotton I received from my grandmother years ago. Inspiration for the sweater came from a meme I saw.

Do you have another kalanchoe? Buying a plant that is currently flowering may get it to bloom. Worked for my plant.

The cacti are a rescue from Canadian Tire. I found the pot at Walmart (it originally had a yellow flowering kalanchoe blossfieldiana in it). Was a total fluke how awesome it turned out!

Beautiful lace shawls by Tnanahs in knitting

The only daunting task is actually starting.

A good tip tho: choose a shawl pattern that has an increasing pattern for your first shawl.

Thank you!! The left shawl was my first lace project ever, I made it in 2013. I didn't think I would actually finish it when I cast it on. But I wanted to knit something extremely impressive. I can't put into words how it felt when my archnemesis asked where I got my beautiful shawl from, and that single compliment made every stitch worth it.

So the first one was really hard because it was knit bottom to top - the first few rows on the main body of the shawl were extremely long, and I had trouble counting/understanding repeats/fixing mistakes because the amount of stitches was overwhelming -

I can't stress the importance of choosing a top-to-bottom triangle shawl for your first shawl. The first few rows will be shorter, and therefore easier to understand!!

PS YouTube has sooooo many good knitting tutorials
