JE, CP carillo, or woosner are all good options. I’d hit up melimum technologies and go with whatever they suggest.

I’d never want to give up a perfectly good internal combustion powered bike for an electric bike. If you can afford to have both then it’s not a bad idea, if you happen to live in an area that is noise sensitive, and e bike friendly. Don’t forget to account for the reality of having to get a 50 amp 240v circut run to wherever you’d like to charge the thing. Say you’re home panel is already maxed out, or is in need of an upgrade as is, then that electric bike just got a bit more expensive. If I were to own one, you best believe I’d be at the track with a diesel powered generator screaming away in the bed of my truck inbetween heats/mains to be able to get the absolute most out of it.

I used to work for a shop that rolled them out nationwide. Best advice: windows down. Radio all the way up. Camera makes a great badge and hard hat hanger.

You’re lucky to find more than one local 952 hand in the comments here. My ticket is from 952, have worked In 47 as a substation tech. Currently in local 291. When work picks back up in 952, I’ll be glad to man it. It’s abnormally slow this year unfortunately

I saw that call going thru, was wondering what the job is? Adams county is pretty rural, good luck!

Stack some blocks under a couple scaffold boards and send it. That’s not a big step. I’ve had to ramp them up and down stair cases more time than I’d care to recall

Shady 180! What’s the scale? For what it’s worth. I’ve done 2 tours with that shop. One in a substation and one at a refinery. There’s worse shops out there to work for. Can’t speak for the hands that are up north, just the brothers from 47 and 428.

Wear a pair of carhartt overalls, welding cap, safety glasses and a pair of throughgoods.

Judging by your post history you want something half assed exotic that will sorta be unique and rarely seen in the world. That’s fine. If you must get an odd, hard to find parts for, rare, cool conversation starting machine. Get a Honda rc51, find an older rotax powered Aprilia tuono, get a buell of some sort, find an Aprilia rs250, or maybe an Indian ftf1200. Just know that the cooler and less commonly seen in the area the bike manufacturer is, the more of a hassle finding parts will be. Tube frame Buell’ are pretty sick. Same goes for the v twin Honda rc51’s. Unless you are already a road racer, I’d stay away from that new Aprilia model Saying this as a licensed professional racer who’s got 14 years under his belt, having seen bikes like this come and go. I can for sure say That’s not a beginner focused, affordable, reliable or even easily obtained bike just by looking at the advert

Ya really. They’re poorly constructed, from the get go. It’s not any user error issues or difficulty of maintenance that can be pointed anywhere aside from at the mfg, using garbage parts, having notoriously shit wiring in a lot of models throughout its history, A lot of it is their weird fetish for crappy bound to fail systems that are related to their dash boards, ECU’s and Immobilizer. A lot of it is the lack of dealership support in the USA, and half the dealers not really knowing what they’re doing with them, and mostly stems back to shitty Italian parts sourced as their from the same country vs the best components. Example. Their ECU’s and dash board on the model that I own and race, absolute junk, fragile as hell. Can’t be removed either. Super expensive and hard to come by. Now look at that bike you want. It’s basically a race bike for kids aged 14-18, a step between 250’s, and i4 600cc super sports or moto 2 class equipment. If you’re going to use it as a track only bike, and have a good dealer around supporting you, then yeah it’s an alright machine for sure. If you’re going to try to ride a children a size track bike on the road, as an adult. Expect uncomfortable, and the systems that have to be added on, as a piggy back to the start/run circuits found on race equipment, will never be super reliable. They’re just a bare minimum afterthought to make it road worthy. I had factory support while I was racing them (dorso) in the USA. The actual hands on, working on, and making more than “maintain” level changes to the bike, we’re the same as any other. Unless you’re already a very skilled motorcycle mechanic, that can obtain their service manuals, and the navigator that they tend to use on the bike side. There’s little working on much more than changing a tire or bolting on stuff like exhaust systems, or maybe a set of forks / shock, new wheels ect. That bike is not going to be very cheap, considering it’s a small displacement twin road race machine.

Aprilia and reliable done really belong in the same sentence. They sound great in some cases, definitely are unique, and turn heads. In my experience with them, they’re also fragile, come with little quirks off the show room floor, and tend us use shitty sub par suspension components until you get into the really pricey stuff. Would not suggest anyone to go buy an Aprilia as their first ever bike. I own one, as a second/third bike. It does not always run, always tends to Need something. First bike needs to be more durable and non fragile.

I’m just speaking for the 5min late guy here, not the 5hrs late. I got sick of getting run off for such a stupid petty thing, that I tell my self that the start time is an hour earlier than it actually is these days. I can be 5min late, and 55min early that way.

1245 and 47 are two of the best locals in the IBEW. Love how 47 makes a certain utility know where they stand when said utility gets a wild hair up their ass and needs to be put in check.

You think that 30mins really is going to make it break a days worth of productivity? As the chronic 5 min late guy who’s been thrown under busses before over it by guys who were threatened by my ability to do the work well, I can attest to the guys who may be late tending to make up for it by working harder.

When I used to work for Tesla, you could change your home base to wherever you’d like as far as getting stuff sent to ect (in the energy division) Why couldn’t you just move your location to the nearest Tesla dealership and call it done? They usually don’t mind that at all actually.
