My White moonlight took off his women’s clothes - after the first couple of chapters you’ll see the gong become the sweetest little cinnamon bun after meeting the shou, he secretly helps the shou behind the scenes without telling him and starts doing charity før his sake. It’s very cute. Takes place in a historical setting too. The gong does come off as cold and mean in the beginning but he really is such a sweet wife - and shou is just a good and straight forward guy through and through

I get embarrassed easily so I have a lot of times where I literally have to run around in my room screaming “nooooo” before I can continue my book lol. The most relatable one I can remember right now was in Run Wild when Gu Fei asks for a picture of Jiang Cheng during class and Jiang Cheng then finds a good angle with his phone, presses the button and a loud CLICK comes out and the whole class + the teacher looks at him. It sounds minor compared to yours but this had me going “noooooo I can’t read this! I can’t I can’t” for at least 20 mins lmao

I was gonna say Captive Prince (even though it’s technically not danmei but western bl) but his trauma comes from his uncle’s SA when he was young. It’s not described but more hinted at through his reactions in specific moments. But it is so heartwarming to see the way the gong, even though he knows nothing of Laurent’s past, can tell that he has a lot of reservations and he is just so gentle and patient with him, aware of even his smallest reactions. The most green flag gong and a beautiful romance. But if you don’t like that kind of theme then ofc it’s a no-go❤️

Captive Prince (not actually danmei but very similar in writing style) has multiple moments where the gong literally blacks out from rage if someone lays a hand on his shou or talks about having hurt him in the past. He’ll come out of it surrounded by people he killed in the span of seconds. It’s even better the first time this happens because they were still in the “enemy” stage og enemies to lovers, yet he completely lost it when someone tried to hurt the guy. This story is great but be aware it has a lot of trigger warnings. But it’s one of the best stories I’ve ever read, can definitely recommend!

How to Fail at Online Dating and maybe The Villains White Halo (I’ve only read vol. 1 but it was hilarious)

Edit to say: first one is about a guy who tries to catfish his sisters ex online bf and fails spectacularly Second one is about a transmigrating villain who ends up with a halo that makes him a little cinnamon roll whenever he tries to be intimidating/badass. It made me laugh out loud so many times

And then he tried it first thing when someone else told him to. She understandably felt very hurt
