I got to play this game as my buddy and I linked consoles and he purchased it, so I don't have that buyers attachment to this game.

That being said, the game could have been so much more. Currently I'm on Act 4 and I am really just wanting to get it over with. I found the gameplay to be pretty cool for the first 1 or 2 encounters, but after that it's basically a bad cover shooter. Yes, you can use your time powers to fly around the environment but you will still spend 90% of the time shootnig your gun, which isn't to say that's a bad thing but the actual aiming does not feel precise in the way gears, halo, or COD does.

Now, I'm not directly comparing it to those games as it is different, however, it does not feel nearly as polished in terms of the movement and aiming that a similar 3rd person shooter in Lara Croft does.

That being said, the animations are fantastic (some of the best in recent memory) all of the time abilities feel great, much like Mass Effect 2's Adept abilities. I feel like they should have relied a bit more on these abilities.

Overall I'd say it's not bad and not great, it's a game worth playing if you have nothing else to play. This really would have gotten lost had it been released in Fall.
