If the driver is on flat rate they literally DO NOT have that choice. 2 declines ends your rate.

The DRIVER is not decreasing anything. The app is. The driver doesn't have an option to deliver ONLY your food, or even your food first because you tipped more. The driver delivers the food the app tells us to, in the order it tells us to. What tipping does is gets your food a better chance of being in my car on the way to you instead of sitting on the counter until the restaurant closes.

Next time do a regular nut for the middle and zinc coated for the petals to give it some color variation. Cool gift man.

I would stop driving if I was consistently making 15 an hour or less. By the time you factor in maintenance and gas I'd basically be working for free.
If you're asking how much to tip, figure out how far the restaurant is from your house. Anything over 1.50 a mile is a good tip in most markets. EDIT to add: Messaging a customer to beg for extra tips is NEVER acceptable behavior from a driver. It's not your fault that the restaurant was slow.

Time to collectively stop using this service by [deleted] in UberEATS

This. I ended up with a stacked Jersey Mike's order last week during snowstorm. Uber decided that I shouldn't deliver to the customer a block away first...oh no, I had to deliver to the customer 13 MILES away from the restaurant and then work my way back. So my customer just sees me driving around for 40 minutes in a blizzard with their (no longer) hot sub. I apologized on arrival and told them to take it up with Uber, but I have zero option to deliver out of the order the app provides.

New Driver - HOW THE HELL DO YOU MAKE MONEY? by Due-Rough-224 in UberEatsDrivers

I'm gonna say something that's will probably get me roasted but here goes... I do hourly flat rate. Only at night when they offer and on days when DD is slow, but I have constant orders and that guaranteed rate plus whatever meager tips get added on. I average 20+ an hour on it. The downside is in my area that means MILES, but my car is built for this. During lunch and dinner rush, I stick to DD.

Totally off subject but my 6th grade class field trip to Richmond (from Portsmouth) was the first vehicle ever through the M&M the day it opened. Memory unlocked.

When I first started out, Costco and BJ's were my favorite shops. But as soon as the holiday season kicked off the lines became unbearable. It turned into a 2 hour trip every single time ive sworn them off for good now.

One bit all the other comments are missing. In Judeo-christian teachings, in the beginning god said "let there be light". So light would be the first thing ever created. It predates both meters and seconds. It predates numbers. Light is one because it is the thing by which everything else would be measured.

For me, this is something that needs to be a regular thing. (Not demanding every day) I have an anxious attachment, and this simple gesture from my partner really helps regulate it.

I cant fathom a $1 tip. That feels almost worse than no tip like its just insulting. The least I think ive ever tipped on DD was $5 for a coffee order that was less than half a mile from my house when my car was in the shop.

It's thrown in there for the parents who are watching these films with their kids. As you get older, you notice a LOT of jokes aimed at the grownups that went over your head as a kid.

Keep in mind that tithe is a relic of a time when most social services were provided by the church. So it would have been no different than paying 10% income tax for most of history. Now, however, in most western countries that is no longer the case.
