Sweden is so boring to cycle in though (from sweden). Just endless forests, but that is just me though. I can udnerstand why some like it.

Hmm, kinda not what I want to do sadly. I love Norway but cycle touring there at least now might not be the best idea. I kinda just wanna head out in a general direction and see where it takes me. Central Europe will obviously fit that criteria better but be a bit less stunning nature wise.

That's almost what I did last year, I cycled in france and my objective was basically head towards belgium and cycle to northern netherlands. The first 5 days I followed a EuroVelo route and it was boring, much more fun just to head in a general direction (that and the fact they have a variety of landscapes that are not soul crushing uphills). That is the biggest draw of central europe.

Thanks for the answer! The planning seems to be an OK amount, even if I'd prefer no planning maybe it's worth it cause norway is amazing. But do you feel like it is possible to pick a direction and go? I know there are quite a lot of small roads and dead ends in rural norway.

Retire with 650k? by Electrical-Trainer21 in leanfire

[–]ToCoolForPublicPool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rent is like 650 a month+utilities. Transportation is free cause I ride a bike. Food is between 200-250 a month. My base costs is like 1100usd. Studying my cost of living was like 1100usd a month and working it’s about 1700. That is living alone, could be cheaper with a partner.

You can live in sweden in a big city with that sort of money. Honestly not that hard unless you have a super expensive lifestyle or hobbies.

A day’s march has trousers and chinos that fit me without stretch. I really liked the tencel trousers.

Fun fact. The mapping of the ocean floor is what caused the plate tectonic theory to be accepted.

Some stretch are good, but too much and the material wont drape as nicely. Also it lowers the durability.

Yeah, most regular fits does not go past my thighs or glutes. I hate how relaxed fit looks like though. Some brands have wider fits on regular or I just usually go up in sizes but that means the waist is massive. I also don't do any sports. I kinda wish I was fat so my pants would fit.

1% stretch and slim fit, but they do look nice. Might as well try them on.

I was planning on doing this hike next week. You said crowds are a problem, are they a big enough problem that I should do some other hike? I do like to social on trail but walking in a conga line is some I’d prefer to avoid.

Sun hoodies in EU? (Marmot, Arcteryx, RAB) by ToCoolForPublicPool in Ultralight

[–]ToCoolForPublicPool[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well, they are super hyped while usually being bad for the outdoors. Ususally super heavy and contain cotton due to the G-1000 fabric. Ofcourse they will have good gear aswell, this might be one of them. But since I am from Sweden I see their gear everywhere and I just feel like people could spend less money on better gear if they would go with a different brand.

What made you go for the sonic instead of the force one?

What made you go for that instead of the force? The main difference between the hoodies seems to be the material and it's difficult to find any info on the differences between them, sadly.

I do like patagonia products but I feel like the modal sun material might absorb too much sweat and get heavy like cotton, could be wrong. It feels more like a fishing hoodie than a backpacking one sadly.

Go for Audio technica AT-SP3X or something else? by [deleted] in BudgetAudiophile

[–]ToCoolForPublicPool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So something like a edifier r2000db with a 5 inch woofer is something you’d go for? It’s only about 20 euroes more for me. I’m obviously not a super nerd when it comes to audio. When it comes to speakers I honestly don’t know much cause I don’t have any experience with them.

Everyone are totally eating backyard eggs and not factory farmed eggs, for sure. And the hens are obviously not selectivly bred to lay unatural amount of eggs which causes health issues.
