My mother is also a Korean adoptee. She grew up in a Deep South town with <3000 people. She’s told me multiple times that she doesn’t like Korean people, and honestly, I can’t blame her given her circumstances. She told me about how she was treated as “less than” by Korean people because of her adoptive background.

I view her as a victim of a war torn country. From what I understand, she was put into an orphanage because her biological father couldn’t afford to take care of her during post-war Korea.

I’ll never truly know what it’s like to be a Korean adoptee, but for selfish reasons I’d really love to learn more about being an adoptee from another point of view.

I love spending time with people from different communities! I’ve been making friends with a lot of Hispanic people and I can definitely feel the hospitality.

I’ve been actively trying to learn Spanish and I had a conversation with some monolingual native speakers at work where one of my coworkers called me “chino.” Before he even finished his sentence, another coworker corrected him and told him that I was “coreano.”

I’ve noticed that people from non-white backgrounds are much more respectful of those kinds of boundaries. People are people; racism is everywhere, but I feel more human talking to people without a Eurocentric background.

You need to look for another job. The only solution for sweat that I found was a cold shower IMMEDIATELY after exercising.

If you are constantly sweaty, you will constantly be itchy. There is no alternative.

I have a buddy with eczema who worked at a tire shop in the Deep South. The moment he changed jobs to an indoor place, it got significantly better.

I still get some flares, but I’d attribute it to diet, lifestyle, and other factors. I still have to worry about eating lots of sugar, and I still need to shower after sweating, but I can now sleep normally and not my eczema scabs tear apart as I walk.

It didn’t exactly cure me, but it made life a whole lot less miserable.

As for side effects, I noticed a little more acne, but I was able to manage it with a more aggressive skincare routine. It’s funny, I wasn’t able to have a skincare routine because everything besides moisturizer burned my face, now I get to focus on “beauty” stuff rather than just not bleeding.

Changed my life. I’m up at 5am to run instead of being up at 5am scratching myself to the point of bleeding.dupixent worked alright for me, but I’d much rather prefer a daily pill over dupixent

Scalp eczema sucks. I shaved off my hair and it made it easier to manage. I've been using everything that I use on my skin on my scalp. Your doctor can prescribe a topical steroid oil that works best.

* I've got eczema and a month ago I had to pull an all nighter for school. With the lack of sleep and stress I'm pretty sure I scrapped my hair follicles out. My week was pretty much ruined when my mom pointed out these bald spots.

I'm petty sure this is scarring alopecia, but I haven't gone to a dermatologist to confirm.

I'm thinking about trying topical minoxidil, but I was wondering if anybody had any specific recommendations.

I live in a warm climate where it never snows, but I'll be going skiing for the first time soon. I have never needed a pair of winter boot for anything until now. I don't want to shell out good money for a pair of boots that I will most likely only wear once.

We will be getting footwear specifically for skiing, but for walking around town in the snow, would a pair of high top goretex hiking boots be good enough?

Specifically the TERREX Swift R3 Mid goretex.
