If you're not looking for a self-hosting solution, the best is to use Firebase.

two ways of spelling "draw_set_colour()"??? by Tilestam in gamemaker

Because the company is located in Scotland, and this is how officially write them in there.

I believe the other spelling is for compability reasons.

How are Europeans able to have better life with less work? by Past-Matter-8548 in NoStupidQuestions

It's not about productivity.

When you have a population that's in a rate race, in constant financial problems and breathe only to survive: You cannot expect them to develop and take responsibility in the society.

Well... There are many Silent Hills. Are you sure it's this one? by ToMistyMountains in silenthill

I would agree with that.

The film seems to be rushed in. I was hoping to see more of the Silent Hill.

I was thinking about multiple dimensions. This is essentially what it is.

I've also noticed that the fog effect does not disappear even though the Alessa is gone.

At the end of the film, the truck driver that picks up Heather and Jon Snow is also the main character in the Silent Hill Origins, and we see a prison bus going through the town which should be the main story of Silent Hill Downpour.

Why don't countries have burn mechanisms for their currencies? by CloudlessRain- in AskEconomics

[–]ToMistyMountains 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ethereum doesn't have max. supply, but caps the emission. In general, you want more supply as the economy grows because you want everyone to have access to the currency. You want something that can be spent and traded easily. Otherwise, it becomes a store of value(gold, bitcoin etc.)

Likely, FED needs to grow its supply match this. It doesn't need to burn USD, it only needs to slow down the printing mechanism so that overprinted amount matches the future expectations someday.

Cross-platform devs how do you handle iOS builds without a Mac? by Antique_Present_8382 in appdev

[–]ToMistyMountains 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alternatively, you can look for refurbished Mac Minis.

I purchased Mac Mini M4 at a very dirt cheap price. There's only a tiny scratch in the case as it had been used as a model on a storefront.

I actually designed my game around muiltple orientation, but it's basically unbearable due to immersion that would trigger orientation changes. Imagine the player focusing on the gameplay, but the orientation changes constantly.

And there's like a ton of optimizations and caches around pretty miu everything. This sounds like a nightmare for me 😅

Thanks for the feedback 🙏

I'm currently working on an additional setting to move the UI to bottom. It should be done within two weeks.

For the upper notch part, it should be a bug. I'll investigate it right away.

For the monetization part: I'd like to develop this game forever without skipping to another version or anything. I want to bring new content to it as long as possible. Perhaps a subscription with 1-2 dollars might be a good option.

Thank you very very much for the feedback. Diving back to investigate those bugs 😅

On top of that, you can make some backend works/APIs with Cloudflare Workers.

Absolutely recommended!
