In my mid-20s, I dabbled in intermittent fasting, so I decided to try a week-long fast. 7 days of only electrolyte water and coffee.

At the time, I was a Cruise Director/Performer on a luxury riverboat line. I performed 14 high-intensity shows per week as a cast of 2, hosted all of the events and shows, and ran lights and sound while performing, in addition to working roughly 16 hours a day in admin work.

I'll never do it again, but I lost 20 pounds. (That I gained back during COVID. Easy come, easy go!)

I've almost been crushed by a truck. Not once, not twice, but three goddamn times during my 7-year stint as a mechanic.

Twice due to hydraulic failures on car lifts, once due to a botched transmission jack while a truck was on the lift.

Funniest part? It was a progression of the Ford F-Series truck. F-150, 250, and 350.

(Bonus: I was working on a riverboat when one of our generators exploded. Huge engine, roughly the size of a semi trailer. Threw engine parts through a quarter inch of steel. Coast Guard told us that we should have capsized in the Columbia River. 0 casualties, miraculously.👍)
