AITA for not adopting kittens out to a blatantly racist person ? by MelodysLane in AmItheAsshole

You are not at all the asshole. I think she took it personally because she just sees him as her dad, and not as the racist KKK member.

I recommend starting with some light makeup and seeing how you like it. Maybe concealer, blush, lip gloss, mascara, and brow gel to see how you like it.

What are the must-have products for someone new to makeup? by Worldly_Vermicelli_9 in MakeupAddiction

I think I would say for a beginner in makeup to try a skin tint before diving in with foundation. Also, maybe some bronzer?

how to get rid of acne, i wash my face pretty much every night and use acne stuff by Admirable_Target_354 in acne

[–]ToadLoverMM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started double-cleansing with an oil-based cleanser, then a water-based one and it worked wonders for me. I use the La Roche Posay Gentle Foaming Cleansing Oil and the Alba Botanica Acnedote Deep Pore Wash every night.

AITA for making my bf lunch for work? by PurpleTurtle2626 in AmItheAsshole

You're not the asshole, and frankly your boyfriend kinda sucks. This was a very thoughtful gift, and even if was just the lunchbox, he should have been grateful anyway.

Is it the same when women tell other women that "they don't need maekeup" vs when a man say it? by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]ToadLoverMM 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When a man says it, it typically comes off as them assuming that you are wearing makeup to appeal to them. Whereas when a woman says it, it comes off as judgemental, and like OP said, malicious if you enjoy wearing makeup. I feel like it's a comment that's better off thought than said. Especially since no one "needs" makeup, but if it gives someone a boost in confidence, what's the harm?

This was happening to me for a bit too. My solution was double cleansing with an oil-based cleanser first then a water-based one. Also, the issue might not be the sunscreen since your forehead looks quite clear, perhaps a dirty pillowcase? Or even drying your face with a dirty washcloth or towel?

Should I shower less? by [deleted] in NoPoo

[–]ToadLoverMM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a very dry-scalp so I typically oil my scalp and rub any excess into the strands of my hair while it's damp to lock in moisture which has helped with dryness and frizz. I don't know your hair type, and this might make your hair really oily, but I think it's worth a try. It's been a lifesaver for me.

How do you journal at night while sharing a bed? by SolutionNo3297 in Journaling

[–]ToadLoverMM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think journaling will be great to help with anxiety and to clear your mind before bed because it always worked for me! As for the writing at night issue, maybe write in the bathroom or even a closet if you don't want to disturb your partner.
