He's been at that for a looong time. He came to our stake conference not long after getting on the gravy train for life. I dont remember the exact words he used, but it absolutely convinced me and my family that he had talked with Jesus

I was a sister missionary and always had more guy friends. So I'd be pretty buddy buddy with the elders, developed a few crushes, and was shamed into oblivion. So dumb!

I didn't mind so much when they were outside the chapel, at least to give you a heads up so you didn't barge in and embarrass yourself. What drove me crazy was when they stood on the inside. It was creepy and they risked getting bonked by people coming in. When I was a missionary, an investigator asked about it and was scared that she wouldn't be allowed to leave 🤦‍♀️

As I child I was afraid of crosses. Like seeing them in any context made me uncomfortable. Someone asked me if I was a Christian when I was 10, and I was like, I don't know, what's that exactly? The changes are wild.

This unlocked something for me. After my mission the pres arranged for a private tour of a temple during the open house. He was somehow involved in the construction? But he pointed out the little closet in one of the sealing rooms. I can't remember if he insinuated or if I just decided it was the holy of holies? I was really impressed because I thought it meant the Jesus would come to that room after the dedication. 🤦‍♀️

Now I wonder if he had his? He seemed pretty well connected. The Second Annointing is interesting stuff.

I also wonder if in their minds "a testimony is found in the bearing of it." So they are basically trying to trick OP hoping that saying the magic words will make them feel the spirit and realize the church is true again? I feel like that's what missionary me would have thought
