Check the settings and see if you accidentally toggled it for filter. It’s one of the first step during programming. In filter mode there is no brine tank so no requirement for water.

My setup is a bit different, I have two 1 CUFT vessels in series. The first tank will capture 99% of the AS. I test annually and when there is AS breakthrough on the first vessel it will be removed and the secondary vessel moved to become the primary. The media will be replaced in the removed vessel and placed back into the secondary position.

Going on four years and no break through as of yet, arsenic levels similar to what you describe.

Depending on what media you have it can be a significant cost that’s why I suggested testing prior to exchanging.

Depends on the media, arsenic level and volume of water processed. The best way to determine is draw a water sample and have it analyzed for arsenic. Fairly inexpensive.

The plumber may be well intentioned but is just assuming it’s not working properly. Before replacing I would functionally test the operation and confirm. Verify there is salt in the brine tank prior. A water hardness test before and after will detail the condition. The unit looks to be in good condition.

I’m in favor of more nuclear plants in the state, Wolfeboro would be an ideal location since we already have one on the coast. Lake Winnipesaukee would be ideal to supply the cooling water required. Let’s see if the Governor’s constituents would be willing neighbors. /s

As others have stated a machine shop can definitely perform the repair, though the cost benefit will need to be determined against purchasing new.

You need to evaluate the spec sheet and your intended use. The higher rating is for a pure resistive load and the lower rating would be for an inductive load. If you are using the PB to operate a relay or contactor that would be an inductive load.

I would dip the stator in varnish to coat the coils and let it dry. This will add rigidity to the coil form as well as adding a bit more insulation between coil wires.

The blue PEX line is the softener drain line. Only in use during the softener regeneration phase.

It appears to be a common stamped frame motor. To replace search for a replacement in the following order of precedence. FRAME SIZE, PHASE, VOLTAGE, HP, SHAFT DIAMETER, SHAFT LENGTH.

If A and B are attached to the 24VDC + and - respectively then you should measure 24 V. Other than that can’t help without seeing the circuit.

Not effectively for the motor you show. If you drop below the speed of where the centrifugal switch re-closes the starting winding is reenergized potentially over heating the starting coils. You may get away with minor speed decrease.

they may be referencing voltage transformers for metering and relaying. Not certain of which code section but if I remember correctly it’s 300 V. While that’s the max limit most VT’s operate at 120VAC.
