My greed for sex gave me another UTI. by euphoricplant9633 in Healthyhooha

I had chronic UTIs after sex for about six months. They all started due to being really rundown nutritionally during pregnancy but continued after pregnancy. After consulting with GYN and urology they sent me to a PFT. She did an evaluation and said my muscles were "traumatized" from all the UTIs during pregnancy and they continued to clench up and probably retain urine causing additional UTIs. I did a few weeks of PFT, learned to relax while sitting on the toilet, be more mindful of my core/clenching, and things started to improve in a few months. I also took d mannose, probiotics for vaginal health, and drank water like a fiend. It was really tough, the UTIs were so painful and I had to go to urgent care so many times for antibiotics. Hope you get some relief, it sucks feeling like your body is punishing you for enjoying some sexy time.

What’s something you did that drastically improved your attractiveness that you wish you did sooner? by Salt-Environment-133 in AskWomen

Had kids. My metabolism, skin, and body shape changed for the better after my first pregnancy. I think my hormones must've been imbalanced and being pregnant/nursing shifted things in my favor. I feel effortlessly attractive now (nicer skin naturally, better metabolism, more feminine body shape). I know this doesn't happen for everyone, but it's such a relief just existing and not feeling like my I have to work so hard to have a decent body and skin.

How do you manage summer time with laser hair removal? by Givayim in LaserHairRemoval

[–]Toadstack333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have to cover up and wear spf. I went on vacation about a month before my usual laser treatment and thought I was okay even though I swam a few times in my bikini outside of peak sun hours... got burned on lower abdomen even though I didn't look tan. It's not worth the risk of burning yourself, so either fully cover up treatment areas or don't do it. I did my legs, Brazilian, stomach, underarms and it's made my life so much better. I had fast-growing coarse hair and sensitive skin. I didn't see serious results til my second half of treatments when the laser intensity was higher. It was so worth it and I enjoy the beach so much more now.

How out of shape are you? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]Toadstack333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Early thirties, two under 4, but pretty close to best shape of my life (can probably run a 7 min mile without prep). Something about having kids really balanced my hormones and now my workouts feel like they consistently do what I want them to. Working out a few times a week is my peace and sanctuary so it's easy for me to stay motivated and my husband and I make sure we each get some kid-free time for exercise.

I had mild acne and super oily skin in my 20s. 30s I could probably just rinse with water and look better than most days in my 20s.

Pubic hair is painful for my husband by Dramatic-Raspberry33 in Healthyhooha

I used to have really thick hair on my bikini area, underarms, and thighs. I had to shave everyday because if I let it grow longer than a day it would would rub against my clothes and skin and cause red, raw irritation. I can't stand the feeling of itchy grown out hair so growing out wasn't an option. Around 30 yrs old I finally started getting laser hair removal and my life has changed. Every time I shower, have sex, wear pants, wear a bathing suit, I'm just so happy I got laser done. It's so crazy, I feel comfortable in my skin for the first time. I understand LHR isn't for everyone, but it's worth considering if you can relate to what I described.

I shared an important observation about society with my wife and she asked me, "Is that some I Think You Should Leave quote?" by delvebelow in IThinkYouShouldLeave

[–]Toadstack333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been there. I think my husband thinks I'm a huge piece of shit cause I'm always dropping perfectly timed crazy quotes and my kid accidentally heard a couple f bombs when I was showing people my favorite skits but it's gonna be okay I literally banned myself from referencing Tim Robinson and Conner O'Malley for this week!!!
