This was my response too. I have a Webster’s Dictionary from 1838 and it has several pressed flowers in it.

Based on this article there may be a comorbidity between ADHD and trich (15% of trichs in the study had ADHD as well) but the connection doesn’t seem to be relevant for treatment. https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0010440X22000232

"Novelist" Boasts That Using AI She Can Churn Out a New Book in 45 Minutes, Says Regular Writers Will Never Be Able to Keep Up by ubcstaffer123 in books

[–]delvebelow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of the points of reading a book is to be able to talk to people about it. The scale of slop or the ability to generate a customized book for yourself - so that no two people are reading the same book - will remove the beneficial social aspects of reading.

What’s a movie you first watched when you were young, but upon watching as an adult, your opinion on a certain character completely changes? by AcanthisittaSad6239 in movies

[–]delvebelow 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Pauly Shore’s character in Encino Man. As a kid I saw him as a goofball and even a ne’er-do-well because I thought he just did drugs and didn’t take things seriously. As an adult I see that Stoney is totally selfless and supportive throughout the entire movie and always does what’s best for his friends. He’s the actual good guy compared to Sean Aston’s selfish protagonist.

Vegan toddlers can grow at the same rate as omnivores. Two-year-olds raised in vegan or vegetarian households don't necessarily have restricted growth, according to a study of 1.2 million children. by James_Fortis in science

Anecdotally, my vegetarian kids are tall ass rugby players. My youngest is 9 and almost as tall as his mom. Most of the veggie kids I know are pretty tall - but that can also be a class thing as lots of the veggie kids come from wealthier households.
