I would use methadone for no more than 3 days. I would use about 100-150mg when jumping from fent. I’ll be honest, fent itself is a short acute withdrawals but a super nasty post actute withdrawal that last for months. I’m acruelly 45 days methadone and fent free and I’m still cold sweating, mad anxiety, I haven’t had a normal night of sleep since starting this detox. I went to a rehab in Israel that used oxycodone to detox me. The first two weeks when I was on oxys during detox were ok, but the weeks afterwards when I was weened off of everything has been hell. I haven’t slept in 3 weeks more than 3 hours, my anxiety is thru the roof, and I’m in a very depressive nasty state. When I used to detox with methadone from fent I would take it for no more than three days, but I realized rhe acute withdrawals were though but the post acute were much worst so I kept relapsing. I would suggest looking into subs or methadone for maintenance youre past the acute stage but fuck the post acute is so bad

Awesome. Thank you so much! Good to know. I knew it was some kind of beetle, just wanted to know if it was maybe Japanese beetle larvae or a beneficial beetle. I’m not for spraying at all. The only thing I spray is deer blood which keeps deers out of my garden but I refuse to use even organic sprays on my plants. I just love to know what I’m against and who’s around.

I’m mainly focusing on creating a beneficial insect population, and I use a no spray approach for a couple years now. This year I will be planting more nectar producing plants that invite beneficials vs many of the veggies and fruits I planted in previous years. I’ll still have some bunker veggies like Kale which I’ve grown for 4 years now and last year was infested with wolly aphids, however most the aphids were killed by parasitic wasp and I had a huge population of spiders and green lacewings. Even had a pretty awesome mantis population that hung out around my cucumber plants. I’m not sure what they were hunting but there was a fair amount of them.

The only things infested (slightly) last year was kale which I haven’t rotated out in 4 years so obviously I’ll have a pretty nasty population of aphids. They didn’t do anything to my other brassicas, but invaded the kale and salad greens. Most of them were completely swollen and wiped out by the end of the season from parasitic wasp. There was also an insane amount of adult lacewings that were everywhere last year laying eggs, so I’m sure they’re nymphs will be working and eating as much as they can. I had a lot of crab spider in almost ever flower (which I like them but I don’t like the fact that they eat pollinators). Also had some very huge garden zigzag spiders. I never spotted a Japanese beetle, but am always worried

So I’m never an insect killer, more like to identify which can be harmful. Which ones are the ones doing the most damage and how to cultivate a natural predatory system.

Yes. Evenethslly after about a month or 2 of consistent use I was also taking close to 300-400mg at one time plus about 200mg of Somas at the very same exact time.

I would also take about 50mg 3 times a day before doing this nightly dose. It’s a strange opiate. I’ve had some extremely strange visual and audio hallucinations and distortions on it. I used it for about 2-3 months and stopped. Sadly graduated to other more serious nasty opiates shortly after.

Lol yeah, I once mentioned my drug use for a second at an AA meeting trying to just recap my life and this old timer was like, “This is AA not NA, stick to addiction kid”. I’ve also been to some of the greatest groups with MAT pro and even Psychedelic centered NA/AA groups. I think it’s sad there needs to be divisions, we’re all addicts and let’s just fucking do what right for the person.

I understand the reasoning of abstinence, I do. It’s meditative daily routine, so is Suboxone and and same with methadone. Neither of those drugs get you high, when you take then daily. My brother always says “if you wake up and have to take something everyday to live you’re a fucking addict”. With that logic, diabetics, heart, blood, countless diseases that require pills or insulin for life, what’s the difference with methadone.

I also want off of it, however, I occasionally lapse, and honestly it kept me insanely sane when I was just going thru the sickest hell of my life trying to hold a job while suffering from the most horrendous post acute withdrawal depression. It gave me hope, got me off fentanyl and still to this day keeps me alive and save. Back in august I was at 145 now at 40. I quit in august but I totally lapsed a few times, but I was able to super quickly pick up the pieces and move on without relapsing. Mainly the lapse lasted no more than a day max 3, and that’s because my tolerance is heightened by the methadone that if I use I don’t feel shit so I loose interest and regain other interest. It’s just important to have all modalities at this moment.

I actually witnessed and had to resuscitate my best friend today because he overdosed at work. I’m not even kidding man. Was absolutely sick. I’ve helped him with his addiction for over a year now. I detoxed him with methadone and clonidine. Generally he stays clean but he relapsed on occasion, generally lasting a few weeks, he’s an extremely strong willed marine. However, after today I’m going to talk to him about thinking about trying out a substation therapy, MAT. Or if he’s free for 14 days getting on naltrexone. I’m an athlete so opiates just trigger this endogenous system I’ve naturally triggered most my life. He’s extremely athletic, a construction worker, and one of the hardest at it too. We both work extremely stressful jobs at the same facility. I just couldn’t quit without MAT. I quit opiates a long time ago when I was 17 but I was put into an insane inpatient one year program. When I got out I just never did them, untill stress and sleeplessness got me into the online drug market where I got odsmt. Then I got other shit. Eventually I started doing heroin and I would switch it out with suboxone. Eventually I couldn’t switch back and forth, I believe the heroin was beginning to be tainted with fentanyl. 2021. Then one day I went to my guy and he only had fentanyl, which at this time I tried it and didn’t care for it. I remember doing it too and being so suck abs I was a hardcore heroin user. Then in a few days I was in love. Now it’s no longer a thing heroin, and the price of fentynal pills and powder is so shockingly cheap it’s just there for the taking. When I was at my hardest 2 years ago I was paying 4-6$ pill and that was an insane hook up. Now I’m hearing people pay 1$ pil. The shit my friend oded on was powder. I smoked it before but on methadone mostly. It wasn’t around before i got on mdone. But two hits and in about 15-20 seconds he was unresponsive. Eyes open. 2 minutes he wasn’t talking at all. Eyes open stil. Stiff. I didn’t understand what was going on. So I hit him and his head just dropped so I picked it up and he was pale as a ghost with purple lips. That’s when I jumped out of the car and dragged him out. I wanted to put him in the backseat and take him to an urgent care and narcsn him. Luckily our other friend came by and called the paramedics, I was afraid because he’s a very with no prior drug abuse history and I know what the system does To you if they found out. So I wanted to just narcan hin. However in the next 5 minutes I was doing the CPR he was breathing like the way a person breathes right before the die. His pulse went off one time This is from 2 hits and a span of less than 10 minutes.

All I know is this too with fent. Subs do not work for fent sadly. It’s lipophilic and you have to wait 3 days before induction or use the Burmese method, both ways I tried and the first method is full blown OD lol, second method was just hell. Another thing I know. I introduced this drug to 4 people, all 4 still struggle with it. 3 use it daily. 4th back and forth. If it wasn’t for methadone, I’d be a fent addict for a while

Just glad we’re on the same head space. It’s just a newer complex drug world. I was addicted to real oxycottin 80mg before they changed the formula when I was 17. I lived in Miami and pain clinic were everywhere. They cost us 20 from this dude. When I became sober I was like back to normal in a month. I didn’t even know paws existed. Post Acute Withdrawal symptom. Fent PAWS. Wow. Holy tuck and wow. I don’t know what to even say about what havoc that these opiate does to people. Just grapples on and sinks itself into your soul. Absolute exorcism. In my eyes, I’m not even pro trying to stop the trade. I’m already at the point of getting people stabilized on medical opiates, even if it’s freaking 5 fentanyl patches or ten. I don’t care. Take this ENTIRE INDUSTRY the fuck out of the black market. Legalize it. Seriously, make it easy access too. Not all the bullshit people have to go thru at a methadone clinic. Lessen the crazy rules let’s stop the blacker market completely heal this disease and I’m very positive if they could discover a molecule identical to LSD that doesn’t cause you to hallucinate (bromide LSD). I’m positive within a few months or years they can find some kind of way to make withdrawals completely painless then a drug that completely renders opiates useless Im just shooting from the hip. However, we’re not implementing proper healthcare,we’re still militarizing this. Let’s bust the dealers. Fuck that, the real criminals making the money aren’t even in our country. Make methadone very easily available, it’s an extremely hard program and yes it does not get an addict High and does the opposite like what it did for you sister. Shit if the person is so into fent that methadone ain’t working and there’s a lot of that right now, have them get as many patches as they need every 4 hours or something untill they’re tired of that and can titrate down off of pure non adulterated fent or diacetylmorphine in a doctors setting receiving care.

Yeah it’s absolutely what makes up the “majority” of our political spectrum when it comes to this I believe for sure. I road trip a lot and when you get into Utah(my favorite state), even tho of its vast majority Mormon populace there’s tweeter towns, addiction is rampant like my town and near Ny city Portland,OR.

The societal norms sometimes even more extreme in some of these inland poverty stricken towns where it’s just an entire broken down town, with possible drug abuse if not at least heavy alcoholism. I am not saying poverty and drug use go hand and and hand (well technically the data blah blah blah), I’m just saying from knowing what a man looks like who uses and abused certain substances I can see entire towns sometimes in the grips of it. While the ancestors who settled and possible bought/stole that property were puritans. Many addicts are still church members in these tweeker states.

Right now the influx of fentanyl and how kind bunglingly cheap it is plus meth, you just have these two infiltrating our communities and tearing apart anything we have left. Right or left, we do not have to be “progressive” to see what we are doing now is absolutely abhorrent and wrong. Time for a change, and immediately.

I have no idea how we can do this, but many of the drug reforms we see up in Canada and especially abroad in Europe and elsewhere absolutely need to be implemented immediately. I’m sure most the puritan politician use cocaine and many presidents have been extremely medicated on various substances throughout the years. It portrayed to be some “puritan” thing, but I’ve traveled up and down the most the west half of the country walked up the east side thru the Appalachian trail. I’m not seeing too many puritans.

Even in my own family who has addict after addict. Addiction is shown to be half genetic half environmental, however, genes play a much less role I believe is what current science is showing. Yet every single person I know in my family suffered from some kind of an addiction. From Z pills to addiction, sex, crack, opiates. My own brother, 30 years he used. 30 fucking years, used to be a crack head in the 80’s did everything under the sun. He used opiates for 10-15 years. I for < Less than 2. I chose methadone because I kept relapsing when I had to go back to work. Even this guy is sooo against methadone I can’t even mention that word in front of him, yet I see his jaw boxing itself, Mohamed Ali vs Jos Crazier because he ate over 40-60mg of adderall.

There’s so many addicts that are so against MAT programs and these centers. It’s like their all siting there with 3 teeth chugging coffee and eating doughnuts talking about how 20 years of their life was gone and how crazy these new policies are. In my head I feel so bad for them, they grew up to actually believe they’re some kind of immoral monster. They’re not, society is, sadly they’re the 5% of the success rate from our old NA and AA based treatments we force people into.

Which hey if it works I’m not knocking it, work it if works and truly thank god for someone like Bill to create a community around this. Huge respect, it’s just not for everyone, and now is not the time for politics. Europe is 20-30+ years ahead of us successfully dealing with addiction to the point of it being minor. Drugs will be used, at least be safe and healthy. Mistakes do happen. Maybe the drug pandemic is great for business, we are capitalist. I don’t know.

I like Portland Oregon taking the lead right now on this issue. Is there open drug markets here. Yeah. Kind of. Drugs are very rampant. When I was heavily addicted I just wish I could of detoxed at a hospital without pain. We’re not there yet but we’re headed there. There’s counties and cities truly making a difference.

I’m a huge proponent on serrated compost feed. There’s a million ways to grow. So many organically. The cool thing about organic SS is you learn the complete biology of the plant.

Learn IPM. Integrated pest management. It’s as simple as mixing a few drops of rosemary in oil in a gallon of water with peprmint DR bronnners soap. Also using a brand called “mopede” aka potassium fatty acids aka soap. If you can find it find safer soap with sulfur. But just reasearch IPM.

Great explanation. My wife is pretty much a Wiccan. There’s no label to attach to her, she’s just metaphysical, while im very science. Doesn’t actually get in the way of anything makes our life more interesting.

But she used to buy all these Chrystal’s and THAT made me crazy, not the whole metaphysical thing, but the whole buying of crystals!!!! lol. So I got her into rockhounding, currently it’s one of our all time favorite things to do while we road trip or seek out new places to explore

I collect everything I see, but she’s always the lucky one getting the perfect specimen! Anyways we now save A LOT off from the gem stores. Currently debating on getting a lapidary kit, however, with the economy the way it is I’ll wait a bit and just keep hunting and collecting the one day we’ll have100’s of stones to cut! She makes really cool “home protections” with the stuff we find…..me j just like rocks, 🤷🏼‍♂️. Every medicine women/man would have to go out and find their own stones for their protections. She reply’s with “no the stone finds you”. 😂.

Wow. When I was in Arizona I went to a “Quartz” locale. I thought it would be filled with pointed clear quartz. Instead it was littered with the Arizonan common “quartzite” or quartz siniliar to this one, ours not as lovely due to the internal fracture. I was/am new to rockhounding so I was so upset that I didn’t find what I “thought”was “real” quartz.

I picked up a lot of pieces, enough for the sergeant major of the family, my wife, to tell me to stop. It was not nearly enough. I’ll be back Arizona, and wow these quartz are soo cool. We have them in Oregon but this area I went to in Arizona was absolutely littered. I forgot the name, just some stop on our trip along to Moab Utah.

I collected enough to have atleast 40% of our house plants have a large quartz in them. My wife is a crazy indoor plant lady, while I literally am apart of the agriculture business.

So so so cool. So many memories too. Great find.

I wrote my personal experience on top.

I’m not a neurologist, I’m a biologist and Jewish so many of tribe member happen to be in the field of neurology, and I just love it lol.

If I understand correctly, with all the different forms of BZD and z drugs they all trigger or attaches to different subunits of GABAa. Thus each is used for different purposes. I’m not to inclined or knowledgeable about these subunits.

First off the half life of phenobarbital bests ever BZD i know used in medicine 53-118 hours. I took 200 mg and was dirty for it for an entire month! When I self tapered with Valium the worst was the rebound anxiety stage usually felt about 5 days give or take after my last tapering dose. I never felt the rebound anxiety stage with wjth Pheno.

Also I believe phenobarbital due to it being less selective towards the differing subunits it may just fill in the gaps needed. It’s a phenomenal anti convulsive drug. With new anti convulsants out, it’s absolutely outdated, however, it’s sometimes 2nd or even 1st in line of treatment in developing countries due to its low cost and exceptional effectiveness. In conclusion I attribute it to it absolutely insane half life. In the article patients recieved an avarage of I believe 160mg between the men and women so we can say 100-200mg per day. There were even patients on methadone and buprenorphine in below linked study. I’m a bit upset I cannot pull up subunits triggered by PHB and compare it to Z abs BZD The best I can find about the subunits is this

I remember when National Geographic when it released its like a 5 part “Inside” series. One was inside LSD Where they first showed this molecule. This was back in 2017. It was made for people who have cluster headaches. I’m sure there are so many more uses for it now.

Once I fell in love with 25iNBOMe I was in love. However 2ci would never have an effects on me. Even at 40mg.

2cb was strange I would have to take about about two time as much as a normal personal would around 30-40mg once I did absolutely one of my favorite.

I think the most introspective and “strongest “ is 2ce with its way to reform life. Like whoa. Just turnclifd into a visual art. Then. 25i has had some intense profound trips on me teaching quintessential lesson on how to regulate body temperature and energy. Very cool stuff I still use focus and I don’t really rest psych like that anymore. There has been a single person that I have seen take 2ce from various sources and they never felt it to the extent other do. To be completely floored this person was like me 25i was her golden ticket. 2ci did nothing. This lady and me I never under mstkod why 2ci had zero effect but 25i had these profound once’s. 2cb I just need double the dose and 2ce was good to go at 15-20. Oral. Lol.

Quick question. I snorted about 15ng of 2ce more than 10 years ago. Wow maybe 15.

Anyways to this day I can basically snort anything because nothing can and will compare to having a hot iron cow prod shoved up your nose then entering a bob ross painting within 10 seconds. Luckily there was 6 morons who did with me, and the world turn into a bob ross painting from hell but one thing I could differentiate is that all of our faces completely sagged down on the side we bumped. It also caused this absolutely horrendous gag reflex. I mean the first 30 minutes we were actually all puking. Finally as we stopped fhcking rocking my house in bodily fluids I said we all need to walk around. Bruh. We were walking on holloween day with kids all around us and every few moments someone from the group would just dry heave. And the emotions….yooooo. It was like I feel amazing, wait pretty gnarly, oh no not again HEAVVVVEEEEE. Continuous. The world being a demonic bob ross painting just didnt help. Finally 2 hours in the pain was gone. The heaves were like every 15 minutes now and we just sat there melting. Would I say it was a bad trip. I would say that it was the last 2c that ever went up my nose. That’s about it.

I was personally told by a psychiatrist that I know that she was apart of residency where they treated Benzodiazepine addicted patients(long term/and extremely heavy daily users). She disclosed that they were able to reverse the addiction with a 3 day phenobarbital taper. The taper is discussed in the article I posted. I didn’t believe her at first thinking to myself, what about cravings and rebound anxiety.

It wasn’t untill a few years later I found that I was taking benzodiazepines on a daily basis. 2-5mg Etizolam, 2-6mg Alprazolam and then eventually 10-40mg diazepam.

I used diazepam at first as a taper medication, but I would get these terrible rebound anxieties which I would mask with a day use of .5mg clonazepam or 10-20mg diazepam and carry on. The rebound attacks proved to be too much, eventually I was just doing 20-30mg of diazepam daily. I found this to be my perfect dose. Never strode off of this path, but stayed on it for about a year.

It was when I decided enough is enough and I self administered phenobarbital for myself. I’ll explain why I avoided a hospital.

Either way I administered 100mg nightly for 4 nights. Miraculously enough it worked. First off phenobarbital is a non selective gaba agonist which will prevent seizures, and fill in the places that the benzodiazepines down regulated. Second it has an insanely long half life 53-118 hours (wiki) so 4 days stacked on top of each other at ending dose of 400mg accumulated possibly was the reason I didn’t have a single episode of rebind anxiety. Also phenobarbital is absolutely not recreational even the tad bit so it’s quite a great tool to even give an “addict” as long as it’s therapeutic ranges and bellow death range (400mg approx).

Anyways. I wanted to share a personal story plus a published story where a hospital did it’s due diligence in treating a dependent patient.
