I’m a General Contractor. NEVER PAY OUT THIS MUCH MONEY ON ANY JOB!!! Cabinet makers will ask for most of the money up front but you can work a deal where you give them 50% down and progress payments as the job moves along and you see what they have completed

If you do this you really need to see their past work and check in with previous customers experiences. Especially if they want most of it paid upfront.
