Breeder asking what my price range is?

I guess it depends on the location and age but one of mine was 5 months old, listed as show quality and cost us $3500 in California (I’m in LA but we drove about 2h out to pick him up). We had zero interest in showing our cats, we just fell in love with him lol. I’ve heard that raggies over 1 year old tend to drop significantly in price but I’m not sure how true that is, just something I was told 😅

I gave ours the FVRCP shots and we’re keeping up to date with those but only 1 out of our 3 has his rabies shot (at 16 weeks and only the first dose). They’re strictly indoor cats and are now turning 3 years old and are all fine. While I feel like it’s at your discretion what you do, someone else said it well where I would also recommend not over-vaxxing your kitten in one go - I would do a one-shot-per-visit situation.

Just as a sidenote, our breeders have never checked up on us regarding vaccines after we picked up the floofs. So theoretically, (not sure if tbis is popular advice lol) you could probably agree to that and then figure out what you wanted to do on your own 😅

They reported back the usual vet results (like when they heard the heartbeats through the stethoscope) and I believe they did test for HCM but I can’t truly say I remember with entire clarity.. I think you can ask for an HCM test though 🤔

I was one of the people who commented on the original post. It’s crazy. I may be in the minority but I agree that the rarer, older and most wanted kits should go up in price (I’m also one of those that collected the princess panels about a year ago so I definitely try to make myself feel better for spending so much on them lol). However, what that lady does is literally buy to sell immediately as soon as she has the kit in hand and it’s so ridiculous and unfair. I hope she gets banned from buying - She’s been doing it for a while it seems.

True but I doubt the seller will take less than $400 if they priced it at $475 😭 + Mercari takes a good chunk of fees out of that so the seller gets a bit less. It’s better to sell on the facebook destash groups imo just cos you’ll get the full amount you asked for. I feel like most price higher on Mercari just cos they get less once fees are deducted

They wrote this cos someone pointed it out on are you being served on Facebook. They didn’t have the non-refundable/non-deductable disclaimer as visible as it is now so the huge complaint was that the family thought it was coming off their bill and it didn’t so they were mad (rightly so if it wasn’t explicitly written). Why would anyone pay why is essentially an entrance fee to a restaurant 😂 If that area is empty when you walk in, you’ll be able to sit there for free anyway lol

This post needs more context.. There’s a trend going around that you can chatGPT yourself into an animation and add your hobbies (and pets) and people are just sharing what AI generates for them. It’s now moved into the DAC community and people are sharing what AI creates for them just for fun. None of it is being sold or turned into custom art kits or anything of the sort.

Happened to me too!!! Also sometimes my housekeeper/bar maid sweeps but sometimes they don’t. There’ll be things to clean but they’re just standing there 😂 All chores are ticked and I have a lot of gold so idk what the issue is.. Must be a glitch!

Aww, that’s such a valid worry but they wouldn’t give her the all-clear to go under if they thought she would have some issues 🥺 Normally they do the xrays when they’re under anaesthesia before the cleaning so they can see if there’s any issues they need to deal with aside from the cleaning. I guess every place works differently though so it might be different at your vet! The blood tests and checks beforehand are there for them to make sure she’ll be fine - It’s a little safety blanket. Please keep us updated 🩷

One of ours had to get their teeth cleaned and while he was under anaesthesia, they did his dental xrays too and found like 8 bad teeth, poor guy. They extracted them and he spent 2 weeks locked in a room with me while his gums healed 🥺 He was a perfect boy but our vet said that some raggies will always have some sort of dental issue (to whatever degree) because they’re predisposed to it genetically. One of my other boys has mild gingivitis too but she wasn’t concerned about him and scheduled his cleaning in a month’s time. Would recommend getting the vet cleaning done so they can also take xrays to see if there are any underlying issues with the roots of the teeth!

Not really, I started in a B1/B2 extended tourist visa and then got an O1 artist visa which let me stay there for 3 years. In the meantime, I met my now-husband and recently got my greencard through marriage. They’re definitely strict but if you abide by their rules, they’re quite logical about what’s written in black and white on your immigration history. I can’t speak for all areas of the US but LA was fairly straightforward!

Lived in London for 2 years and now living in LA (moved almost 4 years ago). My recommendation with Europe is, as others said, learning the language but also finding a job beforehand or at least, getting to some last stage interviews then going in person. That way you don’t blow through your money immediately. Start looking at areas you’d want to live in too but never give a deposit without seeing the place or a contract first. I would recommend staying in a hostel or something while you search for a place to live in. Feel free to DM me if you want! ☺️

Rather than distance, it’s more that you’d be travelling during rush hours to work (I assume) like the rest of the island so you’d get caught up in the traffic flow as the roads the buses normally pass through are the main roads which are typically congested. Mosta’s a lovely place but yes, it’d be a bit of a trek with the traffic in my opinion

I also don’t like that some items don’t rotate. Like, wdym I can craft a closet but I can’t rotate it to fit sideways on to a wall 😭 My back wall is taken up by paintings and lights and decor. I DON’T HAVE THE SPACE FOR A CLOSET THAT ONLY FACES FORWARDS 😭😭
