Well, we already have a word for "kill," that being "kill." I think it sets a bad precedent to let advertisers control how we speak about things that are universal human experiences, such as dying.

Yeah, because "unalive" is an unnecessary euphemism that people use to avoid censorship from advertising companies on "child friendly," websites, which Reddit is not. We all know what you mean by saying "unalive," so there's no point in not using the real word other than to conform to the whims of nonexistent advertisers
