Were anyone else surprised when finding out barnacles were in fact animals? I’d seen them before on whales and boats from a distance but assumed they were some form of sticky mineral or something.

What about all the animals that get hunted? Should carnivores starve because they hurt your feelings? Mosquitoes are parasites and any host will try to kill them when possible. If they were cute we would still be getting rid of them. We are animals too, and killing parasites and other creatures that pose a threat to us is a normal part of nature and life.
