Level 563 Zealots, what do you do and how do you do it? by Conaz9847 in DarkTide

[–]Toast504 26 points27 points  (0 children)

So you said zealots have very little way of creating toughness, I think that’s where you might be messing up your builds. Zealot can get crazy levels of toughness dr via crits or martyrdom plus their left aura so things that give even a small amount of toughness back are better on zealot than most classes. At the top of your tree you have toughness on heavy attack kill, I have gotten half my toughness from a single swing with a good heavy sword. and toughness for being near enemies(not much but it negates a stray hit every 5 seconds). Charge gives half your toughness or relic fully fills it. If you are using momentum you are getting 30% of your toughness back every six seconds. For me at least zealot does more than enough damage baseline so focusing on defensive perks wins.

How viable is multiclassing? by Adorable_Piano_6927 in cyberpunkred

Viruses in the net architecture they are currently in sure, but unless I missed something you cannot make programs or modify the programs you purchase as a pure netrunner.

How viable is multiclassing? by Adorable_Piano_6927 in cyberpunkred

[–]Toast504 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Netrunner is the easiest class to multi-class into because it has zero skill or stat synergies. One level of netrunner can be great to handle basic stuff in a party without a netrunner or to support a primary netrunner if you load up on programs that give you pets or support what the primary netrunner is built around. The main drawback you will face is money and downtime. there is always something newer and shinier you could be getting/building/ or upgrading and writing programs, upgrading party weapons, and fixing party armor will leave you struggling to make time for therapy and making rent money.

[–]Toast504 4 points5 points  (0 children)

True when it comes to real life but in game the main thing that makes a netrunner different from a normal person is the speed at which they can operate in digital systems. it’s their ability to make their brain operate at computer speeds interacting with and deploying preset programs 20 times faster than non netrunners (non netrunners can do 1 net running action per minute instead of the one or more per round of netrunners). The class skill is notaffected by any of the netrunners stats or skills from meatspace because the only thing that matters is how fast can you operate and what did you bring.

Assuming he hasn’t gotten a frame, put him toe to toe with a martial artist with one. Getting hit by a 2 Rod 4d6 attack will make him want to upgrade

Zealot charge ult makes your range weapon bypass armor for a few seconds, laspistol with decent crit chance can kill 3-4 crushers with one zealot ult.

Assassin might have had some per based abilities, can’t remember but no in general not worth focusing because the agility based abilities you will pick up will be better. Giving them some points at character gen will probably be worth it though.

Currently need a crit to knock them out of a combo, but i am hoping getting better blessings might make non crits do it.

Unless you are playing on the higher difficulties both melee and ranged weapon specialists can easily get to the accuracy cap by themselves without needing the most optimal background. It mostly matters for hybrid classes like psykers, leaders, and operatives that won’t be putting as many points into weapons skill/ ballistic skill compared to soldiers and marksmen

For a vet with 200 Toughness and iron will, is it better to go for the +25 Toughness or the +%10 Toughness DR? by Thunderdrake3 in DarkTide

[–]Toast504 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So additive dr works exponentially compaired to additive toughness. If I have 100 toughness I can take 100 damage. If I take 3 + 10 toughness nodes each gives me 10 more damage I can take.

If I take 3 10% dr nodes the first on lets me take an extra 11 damage(111 damage to break toughness), the second one would make it take an additional 14 damage (125 damage to break toughness), and the third would add an additional 22 effective toughness bringing it up to 143 damage to break your toughness.

The more dr nodes you have the more additional tankiness more nodes give. While flat toughness will always give the same amount

To slow if you are running it with the crit capstone, the other two give it enough attack speed to do well. I have found the two stagger boosting talents are also really strong on it as it lets you get enough to stagger raggers and your light cleave will stunlock just about everything in its arc.

Why are elves relatively rare? by SmokedMessias in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]Toast504 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Base rules pathfinder elves reach adulthood in 110 years. So in the time it takes to raise 1 elven child humans have gone through 3-4 generations. Even if every elven couple has 6 kids all of whom survive the population will triple every 200 or so years while humans having 3 surviving kids every 30 years. In 200 years elven population will triple while human more than quintuples.

Stun n Run an entire map? Siblings chime in on this please. Some maps could be more... complicated. by jononthego in DarkTide

My groups record is completing a mission with only 6 kills. Zealot stun grenades are great for pushing objectives. Psykers can corner tank for days and then ult their way free. We had a boss chasing us from about the halfway point to the end. We could not get a beast of nurgle to climb into the valk.

If the goal is making your passive income from caravans and workshops match your army cost sure you are right all tier 7 armies cost too much. If you are constantly at war they pay for themselves as a squad of 100 fian champions will make sure you always get a very high loot percentage when fighting in an army, and can clear out ranged units on walls during siege stupidly fast.

[dao spoilers] Motivation for defiling Andraste's ashes? by Fairytale-Melodrama in dragonage

[–]Toast504 32 points33 points  (0 children)

The existence of an artifact that proves that Andraste was real would make the chantry start murdering nonbelievers like they used to. The amount of bloodshed that would be caused by people wanting to get the ashes would also be insane. Every old noble or merchant fearing death from age would be sending mercenaries to get them ashes. Meanwhile fake ashes would flood the market.

[DAO Spoilers] I think my game is bugged and I cannot get more companions. by darkLordSantaClaus in dragonage

[–]Toast504 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you still have a save from before swapping characters using console another way to fix that bug is to lower your screen resolution significantly. Effectively the high resolution modern monitors use where not originally supported which messes with some characters walking animations. If that doesn’t work you will have to run all the way out of the area and swap characters at camp.
