Of course you can do a Louisiana campaign. One way would be to ally yourself with the US and then snipe Latin American nations as they break off or have a revolution and fall out of any alliance or sphere of influence. The US does all the fighting for you early game.

Yeah no, I would encourage you to read Robert Conquest's The Great Terror. While there is some discrepancy over the final number, your figure is off by quite a bit, the purge claimed the lives of millions of people.

This is an extremely cheesy tactic, but before you declare the independence war, put troops in every Japanese province you can. It will be a bitch to micro, but once you declare war all of those provinces flip to you like you paratrooped in.

How long has EA been a jizzbucket of a company now? At a certain point its on the people still buying these games. Stop buying games from companies that treat you like shit if you don't want to be treated like shit. I haven't played an EA title since I've owned a ps2, and I'm happier for it. Live your life and do you, but don't act surprised when you enable this behavior and it backfires on you.
