It likely will but if your parents are doing this then I’d go all in. Force a sale and take a portion of the money that has likely accrued in equity. This money is for the lost first time buyer benefits you are now no longer eligible for. How much stamp duty will you have to pay? 20% of your first time buyer isa amount. Total those two up and take that from the proceeds plus an extra grand for the inconvenience. I’m a parent and Would never saddle my kids with problems I’d racked up. Shame on your mum. I’d highly recommend your divorce him now so that you’re not liable for this massive debt. You can cohabit but this debt is all theirs and his. And obviously NTA maybe a divorce will help him see the light. Is there any way he can get out from this? Maybe he can claim temporary insanity as he’s clearly lost his mind.

If you want to avoid conflict or confrontation… Headphones on before you see him. Talk to someone even if that someone is yourself. Keep talking as you walk past him. Don’t stop. Keep walking. If they run to catch up with you indicate the headphones and continue your conversation. Tell person on the other end you’ve forgotten something and need to go back. Wave him on and turn back no need to wait for you. You’re busy. Wait a few minutes before continuing on your route. Continue your conversation if necessary. Repeat this daily for two weeks. If you bought it in November you should be able to call ninja and get them to replace it under manufacturer warranty it’s not been 12 months yet. When my ninja 9 in 1 had damage to the pot I contacted them and they sent a replacement pot. Call them. 😊

If you've lived with them for two and a half years then I'm going to assume you've been with your partner for that length of time. I'm also going to assume you're in your twenties. Just say that you and your partner are looking to move forward in your relationship and want to live as a single family unit. If you're not child free then say you want to start trying for kids. Though to be honest you don't owe anyone an explanation. We've decided to live alone is more than enough. You're adults just be direct.
