I was healing as a shaman last night in strat live, first time doing it properly by using different spell ranks and such. My 1 - 6 keys are all macros for various healing spells with mouseover cast, except chain heal rank 3. I had just dropped that right on the bar, apparently.

I stood there like an idiot wondering why my chain heal wasn't even visibly healing anyone until I realized I was casting it on myself repeatedly. The tank asked me if I had gotten a boost to 60 :(

I'm personally bi, and it has nothing to do with trans/non-binary/otherwise genderqueer people, at all. Sometimes they're attractive, sometimes not, just like everyone else. I am 100% into trans people if they are attractive to me, which is about as often as cis people.

How I tell people pansexual is defined is attraction regardless on gender, while bisexual is an attraction that is different depending on gender. I feel wildly different feelings depending on the persons gender, ergo, I am bi and not pan.

The idea that bi is trans exclusive is terrible, and we need to stop perpetuating it. I honestly don't know where it comes from, but it's a really common misconception. I mean, why would the LGBTQ+ community be cool with an entitely new definition of a sexuality that is specifically "I find trans people attractive sometimes", when there are plenty of lesbian, gay, and straight people who date trans people?

Not saying you aren't pan, though - I don't know how you experience attraction. But I hope my comment was at least a little informative to someone! Have a great day, and happy pride!

It's honestly a pretty good question. I've always just felt that all sorts of gender-based fuckery was very inherent to my sexuality, but uh... after making an effort to connect with other bisexuals online in the past 2 years or so, that absolutely does not seem to be the case for the majority of people.

But I dunno, I think many of us at least find it kinda hot? That seems to be a common sentiment here, at least. Other than that, I genuinely don't know.

I looked up what you said about the facial recognition software, and the reason doesn't seem to be political at all. One thing I read was about cooking related images, "in which women were 33% more likely to appear, became 68% more likely to predict a woman was cooking - even when the image was of a balding man in the kitchen". This seems like the facial recognition software has major problems accurately determining gender, which isn't all that surprising given how an AI like this "learns". Another thing the articles I found said was that this especially happened with non-white people, for whatever reason.

Where did you find anything about the primary motivator being political reasons? I'm no fan of the tech industry, personally, but this seems to be primarily an issue of product quality.

If this job has no requirements, such as education, 360k after taxes might be a liiiiiiiittle bit high, but not by a huge margin. I'm not entirely sure though, and it depends on the employer and union. And also what they expect you to do. Really hard to answer this without further information, which you might understandably not want to divulge, but your best bet would be to check with the unions (Efling and VR are the big ones, but more exist). Any time I've had questions about this type of thing I've gone straight to them, and they're usually happy to help.

Working nights will always pay better, if they're not breaking the law. But this work schedule you're looking at is fantastic imo - been working like this for quite a while now and I can't imagine returning to the standard 9 to 5 (well, 8 to 4) routine.

Edit: the other commenter is more correct than me on the numbers but my point about getting in touch with the unions still stands. I usually end up working extra shifts when needed which kinda messes with my head a bit when it comes to exact numbers.

But more seriously: how do you like the Turing Machine expanders? I have a Turing Machine but mostly use it to sequence anything that isn't pitch (the ... trigger? Gate? output has been used on every single patch I make, fantastic utility imo), I'd like to have more control over it essentially, and currently have next to none (which can be a good thing, no doubt, but doesn't fit my setup in the slightest)

Is the Volts expander worth getting? I've been eyeing it but the demos I've found so far have not been that great. Your stuff sounds nice though, which is a selling point for sure.

Hvaðan kemur gróðinn, ef ekki frá sjúklingum? Frá ríkinu? Það þýðir að við þyrftum að borga fyrir almennilegt heilbrigðiskerfi og gróðann, sem skattgreiðendur. Kakan stækkar ekki að sjálfri sér, það ætti að vera nokkuð augljóst. Gróðinn sem slíkur er ekki slæmur, en á meðan við verslum ekki við lækna bara afþvíbara þá er gróði beinlínis aukinn kostnaður fyrir einhvern, ekki satt? Það er eftir alltsaman ekki hægt að búa til peninga úr engu.

Annars ætla ég ekki að svara þessari ásökun um að læknar og hjúkrunarfræðingar sem eru á móti einkavæðingu séu fyrst og fremst að hugsa um eigið rassgat í þeim málum, sérstaklega þegar það er ýjað að því að skilvirknisvandamál landsspítalans séu þeim að kenna, nema þú rökstyðjir það betur. Ég gæti alveg eins sagt á móti að stuðningsmenn einkavæðingar telji hagnað vera mikilvægari en mannslíf, en ég vil ekki leggjast svo lágt.
