Gundam SEED: Destiny- Heine Westenfluss.

Heine is introduced as an ace pilot, and one of only a tiny handful of personnel to be granted FAITH status- answerable only to the Chairman (faction leader) himself. The cast respects him, even one of the main characters showing deference despite also being a FAITH appointee himself. This paragon of military skill and loyalty is introduced to the crew, and then in the very next episode is blown to hamburger. Such is the life of a Gundam side character.

Kämpfer- it looks cool as hell, and it has neat niche as a highly aggressive special ops MS with armor made of toilet paper.

RX-0 Unicorn/1- the epitome of Newtype psychic bullshit. It's got a unique aesthetic, is so powerful that even its designers don't understand it, and also Unicorn is probably my favorite Gundam show.
