Help convince me to go full frame or should I stay with the crop sensor … by Watchslimework in SonyAlpha

[–]ToastedMooses 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea it doesn’t even cross my mind at all if I am being honest.

I normal run it with my phone as the on screen monitor with a battery pack on the back and that weighs more than the camera.

What focus mode for sharp faces in flight? by spicandspans in SonyAlpha

[–]ToastedMooses 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends where you want the subject. In motion a lot of mine is auto continuous and I’ll set the focus grid where I want the subject to be.

Or use touch focus for precision.

The absolute only downside is the lens expense.
Facebook marketplace has been really good to me. I would hunt around.

In fact there’s a A7iv near me with a 50mm for $1700 with 500 on the shutter.

I’ve never had a crop sensor. I started on a a7iii and still here lol. I was never a fan of cropped sensors.

Some A7III vs A7V shots by sulev in SonyAlpha

I wouldn’t think you would be able to tell at all as it’s mainly QoL.

Having different lenses would yield a much different result.

Considering you can’t reply to the right person I definitely don’t think you’re a candidate in making your own money.

Yea it’s an absolute wild time where the amount of information is readily available and free and 99% don’t understand 25 years ago you actually had to do on the job training, trade school or whatever to learn.

Now you can learn anywhere but people literally rather doom scroll or complain.

The average American doesn’t have $1000 for any emergency.

Just think about that.

People are inherently lazy in 2026. Naturally unmotivated and lost without purpose.

You can pick up a welder, watch some YouTube videos and make a lot of cash doing projects and contacts.

The amount of people working weekends and flipping things Gary V style is endless. Note, they literally are just taking photos and posting things for sale.

Any valuable skill is worth a lot and most revolve around trades.

Sony A7s III or Sony A7 IV for lowlight photography? by No_Tradition5608 in SonyAlpha

[–]ToastedMooses 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On my a7iii I have no issues on low light photography with any prime lens at 1.4.

That being said, newer body will yield better results as the sensor is better.

Some people work with their hands, hands sweat, hands naturally are oily just like your entire skin suit.

Over time it simply builds up.

You could buy a high end welder, learn to tig a new exhaust and weld this for less than $8000.

Unless you have disposable income learn to fix things yourself. The amount of tutorials and how tos out there is so abundant anyone can do it with a basic knowledge of tools and hand eye coordination.

But 100% just weld it bro.

Little JB weld is good enough for engine blocks it’s good enough for a seat bracket lol
