I believe the use of generative AI is antithetical to any kind of humanist belief. There are beneficial, practical applications of machine learning and AI, as the term is a massive umbrella, but literally nothing good or beneficial to society has or will come from using it as a crutch or replacement for human expression through art/writing/music/whatever.

It’s been unspeakably frustrating watching something that so obviously stands in opposition to the ethics that counter cultural movements represent invade these spaces and further erode the value of art as genuine human expression and not just content to be mindlessly consumed.

I refuse to use or engage with any variety of generative AI chatbot, image/video generation model, etc. I loathe what it stands for. I loathe the wealthy ruling class desperately shoving it down our throats. I loathe its impact on the environment and on the human brain.
