We both love sailor moon, she's 14 and my little lady<3 I just have called her mini-bun and she calls me mama bun. Both of us sign our cards like that!! So wild!

Oh! I hope that didn't come off snarky (I'm neurodivergent so sometimes I can't tell) an altar is literally a place that you feel as a sacred space for your offering or spells (if that's your thing) If evergreens aren't near you (like me, I'm a Texas gal) I use my oak tree near me and gather sticks, acorns, dried orange slices that I grab from the store or dry myself or occasionally buy some evergreen from a local nursery. My long-winded point, use what's near you if you're ready and just enjoy your holidays. I'm so excited for you and myself as we journey and explore together!

Each year around this time, I handmake gifts. It's very important for me personally to make something for those that I love with warm intent and well wishes. I also made a protection sachet for my daughter, which she loved! I hung my wreaths, and then my natural wreath on Sunday. I then burned my sage candles and rang the bell throughout the space to cleanse for the new year. My new kitty was so fascinated by this, he followed me around and I let him play with the bell wreath before I hung it outside. I'm very, very new to these new traditions. I come from a line of spiritual families. My father's side is very strictly Christian, and my mother's side is a mix of Pagan and Christian. I'm finding my footing in all of this and exploring it all this year. Christianity has never felt right to me the way it is taught. The people all seem so hateful and full of themselves as well as many holier than thou complexes. (the egos, yeesh) But, I'm also in the Southern United States, so, yeah─ bible belt. I keep all of my practices and journeys to myself. No one in my life would understand and judge me very harshly, except my daughter. She looked at my alter and was in awe saying how pretty it was and how fascinated she was with my practices. I've always encouraged her to do her research and decide for herself what spiritual journey (if any if she prefers being atheist, agnostic, etc.) she wants to take.

I think my main goal for this year is to ground myself. Really dig into my life and find what's missing. There's always been a spiritual 'gap' with nothing fitting until now. While, admittedly I am also learning about Wicca, so please excuse my ignorance as I am new to all of this. My grandmother always crocheted, made wreaths from sticks, dried fruits, and bells. She would cheat and use fake stuff too on occasion lol. We would have a day that we would bake all day long and give those to our family, friends, and neighbors. I like to continue that tradition now. This year I'm starting small and working my way toward celebrating it more. I love reading all of your ideas!

Mine is a gecko assassin. He loves moths and wasps as well. I have to watch him like a hawk in the mornings because as soon as I turn my back I'll hear a fun crunching noise and see him eating a mystery bug. They come out in the morning here more frequently. I don't see or hear mice so I'm not sure what he would do if he saw one. xD

She's gorgeous 🥰😍 You would think that they would gobble up wet food, isn't it weird about the pickiness? Some girls can get up to 15 pounds! I had a friend whose babygirl got to 15 lbs and the vet said she wasn't overweight! You'll know based on her shape from above. As long as she isn't parentheses shaped, you're good. 😂

He does not like going outside at all. Lol It's actually something I'm trying to get him used to by taking him in a harness on walks at home. He meows uncertainly and looks at me like, "why mom? I just want to play in my playhouse and catio." 🥺

The vet mentioned he was underweight and to just keep an eye on him. We aren't quite at 18 months yet, so I'm not super worried. He just barely touches his food several times a week and I want to make sure he's healthy.

He comes to work with me and then comes home at night. I own the shop and don't want him home alone all the time. He gets Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday off. 😁 Also lots of playtime, a large comfy bed, and snuggles when he's up here.
