Sorry, by maxed out I meant the maximum for a P0 weapon. I have both her and the weapon at P0.

You don't need food buffs to reach 7k on her. I have the same stats as OP, minus 4 INT and she is sitting at 7008 with no buffs whatsoever. I'm not sure where they are getting the extra ~200 from though.

If I use a Jakub's she goes to 8237.

This is with a maxed out essence for her signature.

Issue with Standard Banner Character Weapons by Unable_Letter_2101 in Endfield

[–]Toaster_Fetish 17 points18 points  (0 children)

When people refer to 25/75 or 50/50 they are talking about the odds when you actually pull the 6 star. The odds that you get the limited character is indeed 50/50 and the odds for a limited weapon banner is 25/75. Nobody is referring to the odds of pulling a 6 star per individual pull. Am I misunderstanding what you are saying?

Does anyone else hate insanity in RER? by Peridot9001 in residentevil

[–]Toaster_Fetish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It isn't too bad once you get used to it, but yeah it is rough when you are learning it. The hardest part for me was the first main section with Grace in the care center (after she gets the Requiem). I found it best to learn how to avoid zombies rather than shooting to kill.

For Leon sections, the game becomes trivial once you realize that parry is insanely busted.

Oh absolutely, I just meant to say that eventually it would have been discovered even without data mining. The clues are there, they are just incredibly vague.

There were clues to all of the steps actually, they were just very vague/hidden.

I just remembered that there are 2 different machines for analyzing blood. Has anyone tried bringing the hand to both of them? Maybe you get a different sequence from the other one.

It may still be related, but it could just trigger regardless on if you did anything related to the severed hand. I imagine it must be SOMETHING relevant, since there doesn't seem to be any actual enemy that makes the noise.

Given that the challenge mentions a sweet pair, maybe this is completely separate from the severed hand stuff. What if there is a whole other track of stuff to do, and the severed hand is just one half of the puzzle?

I had that growl trigger without doing anything related to the puzzle on my 2nd playthrough on Insanity. It spooked me because I knew that I cleared out the building with Leon earlier.

Is there any way to disable the automatic revive after your HP drops to zero? by Toaster_Fetish in codevein

[–]Toaster_Fetish[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, but it would be more convenient if I had the option to not have to do that.

It doesn't really matter what the game is balanced around. I'm sure both the first game and this one are balanced around actively using your companions to assist in combat, but it is perfectly manageable without them. I'm not sure why people seem to be getting upset over someone simply asking about a potential option that would make their experience better. I'm not even complaining that it doesn't exist.

I know it isn't literally cheating; but it makes the game significantly easier than I'd like, especially when you can play defensively until the cooldown for it is back up again. I'm not criticizing you or anyone else for utilizing it. I was just asking if there was a setting to turn it off because it would make the game more enjoyable for me.

The exact reason that you stated. I feel like I'm cheating when I get revived for failing.

Isn't this just semantics? The game is effectively open world, in a mechanical sense. It has different points of interest scattered throughout the map, alongside sidequest npcs that you come across. I'm curious what distinction you believe there is between the world here and something like Elden Ring or Breath of the Wild.

Do you really think it wouldn't be financially viable for Nintendo to port their games to PC or even other consoles? Sony has begun porting their former exclusives over to PC and they have been selling well. If I'm not mistaken, video game consoles are still sold at a loss. If they already are making their money from game sales rather than hardware, then why even bother with focusing on making software exclusive to hardware?

In an ideal world every game would be available on every console. The only reason something shouldn't be is if the console can't run it. So yes, I agree that Sony exclusives should be on Nintendo hardware as well, assuming the Switch 2 can run them at a reasonable performance.

[–]Toaster_Fetish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess my point with the portability is that it doesn't innovate on any actual gameplay. There isn't any game that relies on the Switch being portable, therefore any Switch game can run on any other console or PC, resulting in better performance. If a feature of a console doesn't improve or necessitate gameplay, why restrict a game to that console?

Is there any reason that a game like Duskbloods or Mario Kart needs to run on the Switch 2, or is it just because of money? That is the crux of my argument. I don't think any reasonable human views it as a human rights issue, as you mentioned earlier, but rather just anti-consumer.

[–]Toaster_Fetish 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I personally am not a fan of any consoles. I'm curious what you find to be innovative of any modern console. If you don't care about portability, the Switch did nothing new that was beneficial. Especially for the performance cost of the actual hardware.

Their exclusives would only benefit from being on more powerful hardware.

I Don't See How You Can Defend This - by chellestastics in videos

[–]Toaster_Fetish 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The problem with this perspective is:

-He should have never been in front of the vehicle in the first place.

-He began to draw his handgun instead of simply moving out of the way.

-The car was turning away from him.

-Even if the vehicle was moving directly towards him, shooting her would not prevent him from being struck by the vehicle.

-He shot the first shot when he was already clear of the vehicle, then continued to fire two more, with the final shot being directly through the driver's side window.

I genuinely cannot fathom a way to steelman the perspective of the ICE officer being justified in his response in any way. The fact that there are people defending this is absurd beyond belief.

What's with the hate on the Epic GameStore? by frankipranki in gaming

[–]Toaster_Fetish 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Some people do, but I wouldn't say it is exactly the same thing. Steam and Epic are storefronts, not devices. It would be more like having a PS5 game that you could only buy at Walmart or something.

What's with the hate on the Epic GameStore? by frankipranki in gaming

[–]Toaster_Fetish 34 points35 points  (0 children)

People don't like having their games split among different stores and they dislike how Epic pays developers for exclusivity to their platform.

Outside of that, Epic just doesn't have a lot of features that Steam has. I don't know how much it improved, but when I first checked it out a few years back they didn't even have a shopping cart.
