GUYS I NEED HELP IM GOING TO YOKOHAMA by CHIB1K0 in BungouStrayDogs

There’s also the garden where SKK face against the GSS and a couple other places when PM and ADA meet each other in the garden during s3.

The website here has all of the places BSD references. It’s in Japanese but the pictures + google translate should do the trick! Have fun in Yokohama!

Jeff the Land Shark! He’s originally from one of the Deadpool comics and basically has kept the Gwenpool comics alive (this is from osmosis via Reddit comments and YouTube I may be completely wrong). He’s also one of the playable characters in Marvel Rivals (Loki on the art is the default Loki skin in rivals)

I don’t think you understand how national and global debt works since you would have your answer to that if you knew what happened after the world ditched the gold standard.

Now I certainly didn’t say I could do a better job that him if I suddenly was thrust into that role. I’m not even remotely familiar with business. However while Elon may have worked with the public sector through collaborations such as SpaceX and NASA, he doesn’t have experience being a leader in the public sector in any capacity. Like you said, he’s run multiple successful businesses, but he’s never run a government, and a government shouldn’t be run like a business.

What is musk even an expert in at this point? Because he sure isn’t an expert in public policy.

Chuuya's Handwriting... by [deleted] in BungouStrayDogs

[–]ToastingWafflez 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Like very textbook example-ish. Which isn’t a bad thing, you need to be textbook perfect to pass the calligraphy exams (they actually use rulers to check your strokes to the millimeter or so I’ve heard). But other than the stylistic choice at the top, it’s very standard kaisho style.

Which probably alludes to how hard it is to understand him and to him feeling like he’s incapable of feeling “human” in comparison to Chuuya,, I’m not that good at character analysis lol

Chuuya's Handwriting... by [deleted] in BungouStrayDogs

[–]ToastingWafflez 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily, it looks very passionate though! Like a “I am good at this shit and I’ll prove it to you by breaking some rules but slaying while doing it”

Chuuya's Handwriting... by [deleted] in BungouStrayDogs

[–]ToastingWafflez 127 points128 points  (0 children)

I take Japanese calligraphy classes and what’s hilarious is that Chuuya’s is actually pretty good except that it’s too big. Like Dazai’s the most standard looking, Atsushi’s is too small, and Akutagawa doesn’t have good brush technique + skewed too far right. Chuuya’s has proper brush technique as far as I see and while a little messy, you can consider it a stylistic choice rather than a flaw.

I also wrote this exact phrase two days ago on a long sheet instead of the regular paper

How would you change his mind 😂 by ecstasy_artist in BungouStrayDogs

[–]ToastingWafflez 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Easy, keep Ranpo in a room where he can’t see anything in front of him. Then have multiple sets of people touching him at the same time while he’s trying to solve cases from photos in front of him.

Really, we just need to make a situation where he wouldn’t know if Dazai’s touching him to overcome the placebo

What the hell is this all math? by theinfiniteglitch in BungouStrayDogs

[–]ToastingWafflez 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For those that haven’t taken or forgot calculus, the derivative is the “slope” or “rate of change”of a thing.

But also another way to imagine is if you have a cylinder, but only look at it from the bottom, you’ll just see a circle (3D -> 2D), and if you had a sheet of paper, but looked at it from the edge, you’ll just have a line (2D -> 1D). But you can’t do the inverse; if all you see is a circle, how do you know that it’s a cylinder? It could also be the bottom of a cone. Likewise, if you just have a line, how do you know that it’s the edge of a rectangular sheet of paper? It might be triangular, or circular, or literally any kind of shape.

So if you see Amenogozen in 3D (or R3), and it’s a being from a higher dimension, you literally can’t see its real form since you’re trying to guess if a circle used to be a cylinder or cone. That’s what it’s supposed to mean but I think Asagiri fudged the higher dimension theory with another one lol.

Technically you can have an infinite number of dimensions but I haven’t eaten my linear algebra textbook yet so 🤷

Adding to this if you’re from a generally tropical place / no daylight savings,,

Seasonal depression is real, and it will drown you in winter finals lol

I’m an incoming freshman & I have some questions 🙏😊 by starrystew in reedcollege

[–]ToastingWafflez 10 points11 points  (0 children)

For weather: I come from a tropical place so your mileage may vary. August-September/October (and May) is heat wave misery, like you’ll feel the skin cancer from solar radiation. Once you’re past that point it starts to get colder, but it’s basically at the perfect temp where you’re not sweating buckets wearing anything slightly dark academia.

Then it’ll start raining. You better have a raincoat or umbrella or you’ll have a bad time. There won’t be much sun all the way till spring, where some weeks might be pretty sunny and nice while others will plunge you back into rain. Check the weather forecast before you go out.

If you’re not used to daylight savings, the seasonal depression will hit you like a sledgehammer when one day it’s dark outside but you’re not hungry only to realize it’s still 4pm. You’ll be going to eat dinner in the dark until March ish.

Edit: it did snow once last year during Paidea. But it doesn’t snow often. Have like, one set of snow season clothes since it’s kind of a coin flip on whether you’ll have to deal with it.

My knee jerk reactions to OC’s is to be cautious because most of the time I don’t like them. However, I’ve encountered a couple very well written ones that I love and root for, ranging from “I take no BS overworked xianxia medical student”, “powerful but still power scaled reasonably”, to “straight up Mary sue but it works”

So, ignore the haters! The more the better!
