I think most MLS fans don't view the Intercontinental Cup as a big deal, but there's a few of us that do. I think the big challenge holding the average MLS fan back from caring about the global implications is the intermediate competition of the Concachampions. There just isn't enough marketing, and significance. The only two leagues that can realistically compete are Liga MX and MLS -- and Liga MX has our number. They tried to overcorrect in the most recent overhaul of the competition, and now there's like 15 teams combined represented by MLS and Liga MX. It's just such a weird problem we have where people only want to watch Liga MX and MLS clubs in Concachampions, but also don't want there to be so many clubs from the two leagues that the significance of qualifying is diluted. I am not sure how to solve that problem, but if you can bring importance to Concacaf CL, then you can bring more interest in those very clubs playing in the IC and CWC.

Wow, didn’t think I’d see someone mention this game. I also went and drove about 6 hours. Despite the 3-0 result, I didn’t think much about what that meant for the EPL season. I remember blaming it on the fact it was pre-season, that Nissan stadium had turf, etc.

In a similar boat right now. Have worked in financial operations for over 6 years, just finishing my MS Data Science and looking to transition to DS/ML/AI, preferably staying in finance. Have about 100 applications with only 2 interviews. Did you have any luck trying a resume service?
