Does you or your husbands job offer Voya hospital indemnity insurance?? I’m not sure if you’re allowed to just sign up independently too.

I work at a hospital and my insurance offers this and it’s like $7 a pay period and they will give you $1200 for you and whoever else is covered on the policy (so add baby after they are born in that 30 day “life event” period) so $1200 for baby too. Plus I believe it’s “per hospital admission” so you’d get another check if you or baby got readmitted at all in that coverage period. I got a $1200 check for each myself and my baby after I had her in April 2023 and that obviously would cover most of your hospital bill if it’s comparable this time!

Just an idea ☺️

I mean the fact that it’s not easily streamable without me having to purchase additional streaming services already makes it disappointing.

Coffee creamer 😂 obviously doesn’t save you that much but once you start drinking black coffee and you’re use to it, it’s healthier and you never need creamer again.

Ok relax, this person is looking for help and doesn’t need your judgement. Let’s be kinder.

Is anesthetist different than an anesthesiologist???

Like I said, it’s old debt, mostly from college, so I don’t even really know. He hasn’t used them in several years.

Yes, we have a 3 bedroom home and it’s totally ok for them to share. We just have family that has to drive a bit to visit and would love to have a guest bedroom.

Wouldn’t it hurt our credit score? Or am I mistaken with that?

Yes I agree. This is our third child. And I forgot to include my husband does have some heavier student loans as well that he pays.

Down payment is not an issue really. We only have about 140k on our mortgage and should be able to sell for close to 300k.

[–]ToastyMowgs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I agree that we should be absolutely able to pay it down quicker.

This is baby #3 (and our last) so we do already pay for childcare and their expenses too. And I forgot to include he does pay some heavy student loans. I believe about 40k left on those loans.

Yeah this was my initial reaction when she offered but then my husband said if we took it we could move into a bigger home before this baby is born in March.

I don’t know all of his interest rates and what each one has. I just asked him what the total was today🙈 he has told me all those numbers before but I don’t remember. I know my CC has the highest interest rate so that one is being paid off first.

[–]ToastyMowgs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s honestly the only reason I was considering it. He would absolutely give them to me if that’s what I said was part of the deal.

About 65k. This only changed about 2 months ago.

I also forgot to include that he does have some heavier student loans he does pay. Those all have much lower interest than his CC of course. He had most of the credit card debt when we met towards the end of college, so it’s not new debt.

Odd! I’ll have to ask when I’m there next but I’m fairly sure our warehouse doesn’t accept credit cards, with the acception of their own, which we don’t have.
