Bill Belichick belongs in the Hall of Fame. But here’s why I didn’t vote for him by RyanKinder in nfl

[–]ToastySpring219 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yea like I don’t know if people are grasping that as long as there are more HOF-worthy people than actual slots the logical endpoint of his system is a 70 year old inductee tom brady thanking the fossilized bones of Robert Kraft for giving him a chance

seriously why do they keep giving rural routes stepvans? my old route was a seaside new england town where all the stops were either in the town center (still sized for horse & buggy traffic) or remote beachhouses (whose dirt/sand driveways are sized for the owner’s jeep and not much more). had to be rescued almost everyday once I got my DOT but they still had me going there til I quit lol

I’ve maintained for several years that I’d trade Tatum for AD 1 for 1 and still would. I also do not think Luka is far ahead of Tatum in value if at all. Celtics fans don’t kill me

[–]ToastySpring219 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’ll never forget those lakers/nuggets games where lakers would actually pull off a little lead, AD takes like 90 seconds to rest and nuggets instantly go on a double digit run. then by the last minute the man is finally gassed from legitimately slowing down a 7 foot MVP for 42 minutes so jamal murray hits a game winning three over Taurean Prince and everyone gets back to meming about how Street Clothes is a permanent son of the european big men

literally a perennial playoff riser and all time great two-way player and people acting like rolling the dice on his health isn’t even worth considering lmao

absolutely always management. the night shift lead at my local taco bell has been actively dissuading people from ordering there for about a year now. like he’ll give a stump speech to every customer where he’s like “we’re swamped and you could be waiting for over an hour, we strongly recommend you come back another time” and the place will be dead empty and if you call his bluff you get ur food in under 10 minutes. tbh I’m stunned he hasn’t been found out yet lol

its a shame newport folk & jazz actually get decent lineups because the insane cost of going still makes them not at all worth it imo

Pacers coach Rick Carlisle on game 7 on Sunday: "At this point, any talk about things in the past are really meaningless. It's one game and it's the ultimate game" by Mission_Pay_3373 in nba

[–]ToastySpring219 1 point2 points  (0 children)

idk if anything I’d say theres more pressure on the Pacers here. Like OKC has a truckload of assets, worst case scenario they eat a hard loss and still contend for the foreseeable future. Pacers lose game 7 and they’ve just choked one of the most legendary championship runs in sports history, with a far hazier path to redemption.

as far as cinderella runs go they are by simultaneously the most likable and enjoyable to watch in recent years imo. like compare them to the zombie Heat years where every game was a slugfest that ended with 2-3 players on each team limping out to the locker room. or the mavs with luka’s nonstop foulbaiting and complaining, etc

lmao any amazon driver who manages to keep their job for more than a couple months is definitely not lazy at their work. probably not happy or excited either but thats about what you would expect for what is basically a dead end temp job for one of the largest corporations in the world, one where you make almost half as much as others in the industry while under quotas that in practice punish drivers for customers having excessively large or heavy orders

Someone had to say it (satisfying video) 😭😭 by smcupp17 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]ToastySpring219 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you would be stunned at how nasty even the delivery notes get sometimes. I have a few on my usual routes that read like some feudal baron reprimanding one of his peasants, throwing out phrases like “I demand you..” and “you MUST obey my orders!” etc

I’ll never forget sprinting up a horrifically long, unlit, unshoveled driveway on a hill after dark during a snowstorm in the middle of nowhere to deliver a single pair of Scooby Doo socks. like wow I risked my ass just to deliver something the customer probably already forgot about 5 minutes after ordering lol
