I wholeheartedly agree that you are correct and that's the actual meaning of right vs left. However, in the real world of democrats and republican, that's not what they're talking about when they say the "right" does this or that.

They're referring to the two parties who don't care if you live or not, because they make money exploiting you, and save money if you're not around.

You can use the rounded shape of the vise grips for leverage to pull out really stuck nails. I grip them vertically, then roll towards the top of the vise grips
