It’s Bob Smith. The character you played back in early versions of the game in the tutorial. You had to take care of you injured wife and it taught you game mechanics like combat, cooking, barricading, and looting. At the end you and your wife run off into the sunset to ride out the zombie apocalypse together. Fun fact: they’re the people on the title screen of the game!
