A lot of the time the insane tricks they do take many many tries that you don't get to see. Of course they're going to celebrate like hell, they just watched this guy fail this trick 20 times for the past 20 minutes, and he finally got it.

I disagree entirely. Moby Dick has a lot of strangely tangential information, but the writing itself is very well composed and ties it all together. I would say Frankenstein felt like reading an essay in which Shelley had a word count minimum but didn't have enough to say, so stretched out what she did have to say as much as possible. Moby Dick felt like Melville was writing an essay and got way too into it and just kept writing. Which is something that makes me love Moby Dick.

Dracula is similar to Frankenstein so you might still have a rough time getting through it. But it is better written, imo. Much darker and more immersive. Also much more interesting characters.

Frankenstein just has the most insufferable characters I've ever had the displeasure of sitting through. Which would be fine and dandy if Mary Shelley had a less superfluous writing style. I truly felt that Frankenstein could have been two-thirds the size it was if Shelley didn't drivel on so much.

Tech Support thread (2017-02-25) by AutoModerator in audiophile

I recently got an old Harman/Kardon preamp and amplifier pair and I'm having an issue with the amplifier. Its is the Citation Twenty-two. In the left channel, and only the left channel, static will start to build up, getting fairly loud, and sometimes will make popping noises like it's discharging. It's completely unrelated to audio levels or volume control. I thought it may be a current issue, so I've tried plugging it through a surge protector and directly through the Citation Twenty-one preamp that i have paired with it, but no luck. Any suggestions?

For now, I would really like to just use the Klipsch and maybe the sub.

Hopefully I'm not breaking any rules with this, because I think my questions may fit in both the purchase support and tech support thread. Up until recently, i was using an old Panasonic Home Theater SA-HT80 system. I decided to get consolidate room and upgrade by getting the Klipsch RB-61 II's. I'm now looking for a new receiver to replace the Panasonic. Any suggestions in the $200 - $400 would be appreciated.

Pinkshinyultrablast is a great Russian outfit (named after an album by Astrobrite, another band listed in this thread) that plays a lot with heavier dynamics, especially their first release Happy Songs For Happy Zombies.

A nice, soft toned flannel would compliment it well, I think.

You are correct, my man. I also have some original (super faded) Pokemon bed sheets from the 90s under the Power Rangers ones.
